i think this is because the bounties dont get removed as soon as its past the expire time, it finishes what its doing first and only gets removed once it docks at a station, not in space
i will just have to make sure it doesn't display the negative numbers on the BBS
the expire times are of course only estimates due to them not being removed straight away
a couple of times i have experienced an odd phenomenon wherein a whole bunch of bounty ships will be cruising in a group (though not defending eachother). i think it is tied to bounty time expirations.
Once again I'm sorry if this has been brought up before, as I haven't read the entire thread...
On the BBS, I notice that the payment is sometimes higher for capturing the ships than for destroying them, and sometimes the payment is the same for both.
But, sometimes the bounty is higher for destroying the ship compared to capturing it. Was just wondering, is this intentional?
I think it adds an extra flavour to the game that you actually have to avoid capturing it, but I just wanted to make sure this was intentional or not. Then again capturing it could make you more credits overall by selling the captured ship, so if you absolutely were not to capture the ship but rather destroy it at all cost, I think the price difference between capture and destruction should be higher.

its so sometimes, they prefer you kill them, so they offer more for killing, and other times they prefer thier capture but dont mind if you killed them

And I'm very impressed with your scripts indeed. If I think of new ideas I'll let you know for sure. Right now I intend to enjoy the current missions, but you might find some challenges in this thread:
how about for some bounties there are news rports of stuff happening.....then you get a bounty to take out the mark.....then news stories change to report his death. i spose if you do 1000`s it gets a bit difficult and samey....but a good ideas that can incorporated many ways methinks
well, i was thinking of adding news articles about varios bounties, but its jst a matter of actaully writting the news, which is something m not good at
i was thinking of adding news articles for when you gain a rank in the guilds too, so like a congrats article, or at least when you get to the higher levels
if you kill the bounty, u will lose some rep with the race the bounty belongs too, but you will get an increase in rep with the race you took the bounty out with

Well since I installed your scripts I've also installed the mod that removes all non-relevant messages from the BBS, meaning the ones that don't actually offer any missions/options.
But if you did write any BBS news items that related to your performance in the game I'd certainly remove the mod.
