This game will be AWESOME at start and become more AWESOME after with patch + mod + community + knowledge the game.
The actual video show me a immensssssssse city and they say "In Rebirth, you can build your city and chose want you want to add firts, cargo or food production ? "
So .. I will buy it, because i love th think i can build and own MY CITY ... Thats ... I have no word to describe how i feel that, that simply magnifico !!!
And i can have capital ship who work with my city ? And they can have fighter they protect my cargo ?
And i CAN DOCK AND SEE MY CREW ?
Maybe we can say him " Go washing the toilet, you have do the wrong choice with my marchandise, i'm angry " ( i jocking
)
So, i wait this game, maybe she's not the same as X3 again, maybe she's not so complexe, but she's definily a AWESOME space opera.
Thank for dev, thank for egosoft, and thank's of community that want this game, and answer of our stupid question about this game.
I will buy it, enjoy it, and talk about it !

Don't be too much excited, because The Higher You Get The Harder You Fall.Aesran wrote: The actual video show me a immensssssssse city and they say "In Rebirth, you can build your city and chose want you want to add firts, cargo or food production ? "
actually in X3, you can take a M3, and fly close to terran orbital stations. my god they're huuuuuuge ! you'll even have fun flying inside a Xenon dock. It's like StarWars 4 and the deathstar.
you can also fly a M2, and never get any close to them, because you'll die from collision.
in that second case, stations seems not as big as they really are.
in X Rebirth, you will fly a small ship. think about that.
At gamescon, from distance, the station did not took the whole space, far from that. more like a Terran station.
Don't you know Germany has won the war ? Oh my bad, it was at bethesda stand. Very disturbing for an international gameshow isn't it ?Alci wrote:I tried to look but all videos and all interviews were in german thus silent for me.

To be fair, it is space we're talking about hereWana wrote: in X Rebirth, you will fly a small ship. think about that.

I think the big (ha ha) difference is that many stations in X3 were absolutely massive but really it was just a huge mesh around the same 5 docking ports/hangars. For me they just felt like varyingly-sized blobs of metal rather than the enormous constructions they were. Rebirth's stations have a lot more detail, not just aesthetically, but in their construction, the little traffic lanes going about, and the turrets to boot. I think having that level of detail on a Terran-sized station will make it seem really huge.

advice : do never try to play a sim game.GebürtigerTerraner wrote: I dont want this game anymore. Flying just one (ugly and small) ship doesn't seem fun or logical to me.
3 years later, i still fly the old same Ka-50 chopper, and i'm enjoying it.
there are numerous games that give you an unique platform.

I'd say it was somewhat unlikely that we'd have a Russian translation done for that date, and even more unlikely that we'd have Russian voice acting then. Based on past experience, a Russian translation is highly likely at some point in the future and we know that Russian publishers are keen on providing Russian voice acting for such translations. What is less clear at this stage is when this would be likely to be ready for release.abbotkrea wrote:Would be desirable to clarify whether we will see, November 15, 2013, Russian language localization and voice acting?
Note, however, that whichever language version you buy, you will normally get access to translations to other languages as and when they are released. This means that if you are keen to play from day one, you should be able to buy the English version and then switch to Russian when it becomes available.

It is not about just having one ship, more over the fact that i can not change it appearance and that it will stay small. There will be a point in the game where i would have have at least one capital ship fighting another, and if that happens I don't wont to fly around in a glorified M3. If they would at least give us an observation platform on the capital ship i wouldn't have a problem.Wana wrote:completely agreed.MegaJohnny wrote:

One of the devs said that something like an observation deck is not planned.MegaJohnny wrote:You can dock at a capital ship and look out the window - it's just in dispute whether you can command it when docked (since you're not on the bridge, just an observation deck).

Re capital ship docking: Yes you can land on them, yes you can even stand on platforms on those ships while they are flying which looks super cool, but no you can not be in a room just to command the ship because that would just slow down the process of playing unnecessarily.

EgoSoft forums: growing fears. People don't know how to read.
Really, there is so much information already... For instance: there will be tactical interface for controlling your fleet. About station building we know already almost anything. About trading -mostly too. Sure, not about particular interfaces, but rather about particular design decisions. For instance: "manual" trading is now target-oriented, that is - you select target destination which says what it want and then select the ship to fulfill this trade. We don't know about automatic trading so far, that's true, but it's matter of script. AFAIR sector trader and universe trader were user-made scripts too.

Yo, old time X player here, been away for a while and I've been reading up on X4 ever since the release date has been revealed.
I must say the info so far does hint at a very innovative and interesting game, with CORE changes to the game, hence the name Rebirth and not X4. I will presume this new game will not relate to X1-3 in any way except the story and universe and everything else will be different.
On most of the announced features I will wait until I see them, not enough info at this point and I might catch the Devchat with Bernd tonight. But I am curious why the drone control feature is considered "new". In all of the X games I've played(starting X2 to X3:TC) you could REMOTELY control ANY ship you had in the sector using the screens. So, this is not a new feature to the game type but a REDUCED one. Why announce it as new and innovative? I could just as well pilot an M6 in X3 and remote control the docked M5 to act as a scout/decoy/lure or remote control my bomber to nuke the M2 harassing me while I was distracting the enemy ship.
Also, what I believe matters most to the X games is the moddability. Mods made me get into X3 properly and mods made me buy X3TC. Now I see some incredible new mods for X3:AP so I might buy that as well, and in this case I had considered AP as just another broken quest line add-on for money.
Cheers
