boarding difficulty is all hardcoded - nothing we could adjust :)

someone starting a new game will be fine, sure he cannot buy police licenses anymore ^^ but as long as he does not turn the EQD AL off nothing happens to them, and if he does he might as well better turn of ware consumption for now ;)

hello... ok i have a ( problem here )
My pc is »»Windows 7 Home Premium Intel ( R ) Core (TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 2.40 GHs 4.00GB memory at 1.033/ Nvidia GeForce GTX 260
So is not a super computer but it runs almost all the new games .
I have only instaled XTC with the patch 3.0 and the
X-Tended -Terran Conflict V1.1 Released. [05/01/2011] , no scripts or other mod´s...
So my problem is...in the sectoers with many ships and stations , and i have the roids and civilian ship disable....the game almost stop or run slowly...!!!!!!! :? :cry: :evil:

thaks all the team members for the work put on this new mod :)

Hello all at the XTU Team and thanks for great work. Would now, with 1.1 out, be a good time to update the XTU Tech Sp known bugs/non-bugs lists and copy them here, lock the threads there where the issues are now fixed, and maybe start a new 1.1 thread here in X3TC S&M and in XTU main forum?

I ask because both forum XTC areas and these threads are now growing like mad, each has info/fixes/bugs that the others do not as well as duplication and I am getting rather confused having to look through so many different areas of rapid growth at once. I'm sure the investment now would pay for itself in less repeats, trivial questions and moderating/replies.

Of course this may have to be considered as further bug patches/updates are issued. Just an idea. Thanks anyway.

One thing thats really anoying me... how do I get the crosshairs back to normal. I Just got into a fight with a pirate and ended up shooting space for about 5 minutes because the crosshair on the enemy ships heading is gone (not the bore sight)


Edit: oops, Idont know what happened it wouldnt work on the pirate but I shot at some police and it works now.

Press k to cycle targetting modes (vanilla method).

Install fight command software, press K until it's "on".. :?
We really didn't change anything about the weapon tracking indicator beside the slight colour adjustment. Its mechanics are perfectly the same as vanilla had.

Ive been looking into performance and even though the markets are slighlty adversly effected ive been getting away with starting a new game and just monitoring the universe's factory supply levels and framerate. Ive cut the Jobwings down to 50% and fightwings to 40% in the config options and am getting much better results (so far). Im 2 days in and i think its still vastly better than in my previous 4 day game, granted the same amount of time hasnt passed yet but it is still a lot more fluent. Its difficult to qoute figures because theres not much basis for comparison, but theres between 30fps (worst possible in sirius prime east gate) and 150 fps when looking at nothing.

To sort of compensate for the reduced amount of traders ive pumped the AI's engine tunings to 150-200%(less traders but getting to their destinations quicker etc, and thier rudders aswell to prevent them hitting things with their new found speed), this will of course effect all ai ships, m1/m2/m7's/m6 and probaly giving smaller ships a bit of an advantage over larger ones in evading enemy fire, so best to over do it too much.

Ive also started thinking about turning the station god AL option off after a certain amount of time, maybe 3 days to try to prevent the my framerate going south as it would invevitably do if i left it on keep and churning out stations.

good question I don't know... for some strange reason music just doesn't play, again I am making a list of sytems I've been to that have music in them. I believe the music playing is from Vanilla X3 and not XTC
I had this problem until i converted all the mpeg3 music files all to wma. Only windows 7 has this music problem i believe.
And btw, where is that useful 500km range addon you were talking about?

@ escondido: I think the no rocks and no civilian gameplay options were described by the XTU Team as being of temporary effect such that you would have to periodically toggle them off and on again to keep the game clear. Just leaving them set to on means that they will build up again.

that's funny because the orginal music files for X3tc are MP3 files and they play fine and yeah... I do have windows 7

10 is a little much for such a small group like the Goners...
And I also noticed that there are now no more "civilian" TLs in my universe - and no, thats not MY fault I havent even started serious capping operations. Yet. ;)

It's certainly not due to Windows 7, I can assure you of that personally :D.

It could be some preference/setup settings on your media player, though.. Or audio coded/soundcard setup.

you turn off the civilian AL option?

also... game just smacked me in the face by freezing on me freezing and dying... first time it happened. It happened during a fight, one of the mercenary missions I signed up to do in split space, a M4 and a M5 were picking on a Dragon/heavy Dragon and I decided to join the fray and a few seconds into shooting the M4 I get a sudden freeze of the game. I ctrl alt delete out of the client to see what's up and I get a error message saying the game had to close. :(

Yeah pretty much all the Aldrin sectors for me are empty :sceptic:

ive got a posible problem.

playing a terrn start and as you may notice you have the lowest paranid rank available.

not sure if my problem is intentional relating to this but i am now ranked friend of priest duke and all paranid space stations remain red even if i check my global settings and transmit to all reachable properties.

the paranid military seem to have gone blue but that might not be the case in core sectors.
I used to list PC parts here, but "the best" will suffice!

Don't have freezing problems myself, and I never delete stuff so I've gone back to 1.0a. Question for you, none of the installs so far have Nagoyas on offer at any Terran shipyard in my game, does yours? just curious as no one else has mentioned it wondering if I'm alone in this?

lol I can't dock at terran stations yet... and I'm not interested right now... lol I'm trying to get a Drake so I have an armored and well armed transport vessel that won't be easy pickings for pirates :lol:
