HELP! (again) MY SAVES ARE BROKEN :(

I installed your script (latest version) as the manual says (I use to play with 3 other scripts by the way: "khaak hunter", "treasure hunt" and "overtune")

well, I joined the guild, read through the bbs and then jumped around some sectors (waiting for any pirate bounty) and after docking to a station with (again) no pirate bounty I saved and quit the game. Some time later I wanted to continue the game, loaded the save and CRASH after some seconds. I tried everything it ALWAYS crashed, never did that before with the other scripts. I also have the latest patch installed and no other scripts/mods running. I am VERY aware of anything in my X3 folder so you can be sure that I did not make any stupid mistake. Well, I then uninstalled your files and loaded an older backup savegame and so far everything is alright again - so maybe this was because of your script? Or the combination of those 4 scripts?

And about the script in general:

Very nice!! :) The only thing I´d like to see removed is the MILITANT GONERS (!?!?!?!)/Goner Bounty etc.

hmm, i've not noticed any save corruption yet, not sure what might be causing it

i will have alook c if i can find a cause, but u could just be unlucky and caught the X3 save bug which might be fixed with a later patch, other than that, im not really sure

Cycrow, I don't know if this is a bug or not and whatever previously reported....

Being cheap lvl 1 bounty hunter still, tried a few. Took one split bounty againts split m5 at their sector, he bailed this time and got rewarded as should been. So, all ok.

Went again on trading station on same sector and browsed through some new bounties and suprise suprise, there was one claim on my head....:D
Thing is, the bounty was on to that previously captured m5 bounty claimed, so kept thinking whatever the bounty "tag" from that ship was actually resetted at all?

it is a bug yeah, the reference for the ship isn't getting removed properly when you capture the ship, im currently looking into this, and should have it fixed by the next version

New update to the script, a few things that has been requested by various ppl :)

V2.50
* Added uploading bounties to logbook
* Added expire time of bounties on the BBS
* Added bounty hunters that now hunt the bounties as well as you
* Added yaki ships for some yaki bounties
* Increased number of bounty hunters throughout the universe

that shoudln't happen, there are specific messages that it uses if its the same race, like the traitor messages

i will have to have a look at that

Hey Cycrow I spent a little more time fixing some grammatical errors as well as some other textual changes. This is based off your most recent 2.5 version of the BH script. I also fixed some other grammatical errors with your merc/smuggler scripts. You can download my revisions here:

Yes I used version 2.5

I don't know if thats possible but maybe the message is from an older version, it was the first message I saw after installing 2.5.

it it appeared straight away after updating, it could simply be left from an old version and wil lno doubt remove itself eventually

just to be sure, when u first updated it, you should have got a message about the script when you first load

Heh, I caught one little error when testing out the new T-File, I'm aiming for perfection as you can tell! I've updated the download at my site

Yar. Found some more mistakes, mostly ones that I made myself! :oops: The link above has been updated with my most recent version. This may be a continual thing as I'm never satisfied with the final result. :P Well, i'll keep this version as final until you release your next guild patch. :)

Sometimes I got a negative time in the bounty on the BBS. But the bounty was still available and i could kill him.

LV, just a little thing, seems like neither dns or direct ip works atm, was trying to update the latest but no go. Noticed that you have had some difficulties with your web storage. Nice dns btw...:)

yeah my connection died yesterday and been having problems connecting all day

my ip has changed thou, so im still waiting for the dns records to update which should hopefully be soon

Yep, that ip worked like charm Cycrow (how on earth did I call you LV escapes me), thanks a lot.

Now I seems to have some major problems (few days allready) how ships are behaving on X-universe thou, seems like I need to do some serious bug tracking here. Don't know if this is script/mod related or not, but basicly all xenon/pirate ships are standing still, monitors clearly messed up and getting stuck on gates when jumping in, thou game doesn't lock up nor ctd atm. Weird and very unnerving.

Oh well, seems like have to start with sounds, if the problems residents there (the codecs). Sorry bout offtopic rant, carry on....:)

i think a few other ppl have been experiencing simlar problems, we dont yet know if its the scripts that are causing it, or just a bug in the game

if it is the scripts and we can find out which one, then it should be easily fixed, but until we find out whats causing these problems, its quite hard to actaully fix it
