Home of Light:
The new apartment looked great, Selma had been busy for the last two days getting it ready for us. Best thing about it was it hadn’t cost me a credit. The previous tenant had been one of my targets and I’d acquired it….. And well basically everything he had after I’d taken care of him for some people who thought his operations were expanding into areas they considered exclusively theirs.
The best feature of the place was the safe room he’d had the station construction people build in to protect himself from his enemies. The thing about a safe room though, is you’re not supposed to show it to people just because you think it will impress them enough to let you get into their pants. I got all hot and tingly just thinking about the four days I’d spent playing with him, Selma saw that heat coming from me and took it as a signal that I’d missed her and dragged me into the bedroom. I’d have to leave her on her own for a couple of days again in the future if it meant having such an intense bout of lovemaking when I returned. We eventually got out of bed and after sharing a quick shower went back into the lounge. Pulling my PDA from my jacket pocket I started compiling notes based on what both Gari and Dal had told me and began putting it all together with the work Lannar had been doing. The biggest problem I had was that it didn’t seem to fit, the names they’d given me were not major players in the Pirate’s guild. Then there were the businessmen, some of whose names I did know they were not people I would normally associate with Pirates. They were all suspected of having links to organised crime, at a guess I would say they were the ones who had arranged to have me or rather Lannar taken out….. Which meant they had people working for them at the outpost in M148, as well as the one in Aladna Hill. I doubt that lieutenant Rana was the only bad apple over there.
I went into the safe room and powered up the display terminals, Selma joined me with a pot of coffee sealing us in as I began sorting out the information I had gathered together. It took a while putting names and where I had them faces to the various stations and sectors. Once I had though I could see things more clearly.
This whole operation was being run from two pirate bases one in Lost order and another in Atreus clouds. I knew most of the names of the major clan chiefs and none of them seemed to be involved, my guess is this was an operation being run by a couple of the smaller clans in conjunction with criminal elements based in the western Argon sectors. I gave it some thought for a moment then pulled up the traffic records from my satellites in the sectors that I had listed, starting with Lost Order.
It was a simple matter to have the computer run a check for ships that had appeared in those sectors more than once. Seems the people coming from Terran space visiting Lost Order were getting sloppy. They were regular visitors to that base and were using the same transports to get there.
I was pretty certain I knew why, now most Pirates are pretty much murderous scum but even they were sickened by some of the things that went on there. I tagged the frequent visitors for further investigation then contacted Ceri and transmitted the information I had been working on as well as an outline plan on how to proceed. She took her time reading the materials I’d sent her before speaking.
“Well it all looks very convincing Arlen, I take it this is related to the incident aboard the trade station in Aladna Hill, the station managers making a lot of complaints about you. As far as I can tell reading this there’s no actual physical evidence to support this theory of yours.”
“None, but then since when have we needed that Ceri, trust me the people who gave me this information definitely weren’t lying? As to that noisy station manager you won’t have to worry about him making a fuss for much longer, I’ve taken steps to ensure he behaves himself.”
“I’m glad to hear it… now even if what you suggest is true there is little chance of me being able to get authorisation for a strike force to take action that far south. We do have an understanding with the Teladi, they would be offended by any military action on our part in sectors they consider to fall within their sphere of influence.” Yeah I bet, and the Teladi would scream loud enough to be heard on Argon prime if their lucrative trade in Merchant Haven was disrupted.
That’s not what I’m asking for Ceri, I already have a plan to take care of the base in Lost order. What I am going to need after I’ve dealt with that is an introduction from you to your counterpart, or someone who can speak for him in the Terran sectors. I’m willing to bet that if Rabeka Poler was to present them with this evidence they would act on it. It would also ensure they thought I was the one gathering intelligence in the Terran sectors and not Lannar. I think they’ll deal with matters in their sectors once they see we’ve taken action here in the commonwealth.”
“You seem fairly confident this plan of yours will work Arlen, where do those marines come into the picture?”
“They’re going to steal a ship for me Ceri once that’s done they’ll be held in reserve… Unless of course you were to let me use my regular team, then they could return to their base today.”
“Nice try but that won’t be possible Arlen.... Alright you have four days to take care of things down there, once you’ve done that I’ll want you to report here for debriefing. As to your suspicions about a possible leak here, as you can imagine I will be investigating that as a matter of priority.”
Ceri cut the link leaving me to consider my plans, so much depended on Lotus having gotten me the sanction to operate from the guild I wanted. I checked my inbox and was pleased to see there was a message there from her waiting for me. I opened it noting the attached file….. Seems the lizard had obtained a lot more than I’s asked for, not only had they given me a free hand they had agreed to pay me for dealing with the people on the list I'd sent Lotus. They wanted it to be messy as well so it was clear they intended to send a message to other members of their organisation. Well that suited me, I sent a message to Omicron and told my man there to get to work. By the time I got back he should have the information I needed. Then I opened the attached file and found what I’d hoped it would contain.
“Selma this bit is for my eyes only could you step out for a mizura?”
“Sure thing Hun I’ll get a dinner going for us.”
“No need book us a meal somewhere fancy, I think you deserve a special treat tonight.” She came up behind me and lightly kissed the back of my neck before leaving the room.
Once she'd gone I switched on the camera image distortion program then activated the embedded link on the attachment and found myself looking at the head of the clans in his office on the Anarchy port. Judging by the slightly distorted image I would guess he was taking similar precautions. He knew I was representing the Guild in this so he was more polite than he was reputedly wont to be.
“Speak human, I am answering you only because the pact between the clans and your guild require I give your words consideration?” I wasn’t offended by his hostility, people in his position rarely liked having to deal with assassins… Unless they wanted us to take care of someone for them of course.
“Ja t'zkt there is no need for animosity between us, in fact my guild wishes to do you a service, it will be necessary that we meet face to face to discuss this.”
“Do you think me so stupid as to agree to meet with you Sabine? Your reputation precedes you, I have no wish to expose myself to make it easy for you to kill me.”
“There is no need for concern my guild has guaranteed your safety in this matter, my ship the Kaiken will dock at your base tomorrow. I will meet with you unarmed and in person, these are matters we need to discuss. Of course were any harm to come to me whilst visiting you, my Guild would take steps to avenge me.”
He didn’t like the threat implicit in that but my offer had clearly stirred his interest. He would be one of the few people in the verse who would be able to claim to have met me face to face and lived, that alone would increase his standing amongst the other clan chiefs. He would also be considering the fact that the guild wanted this to happen.
“Very well I shall await our meeting with interest.” I bet he would and no doubt with a considerable security presence around himself. I closed the link and shut everything down before going to join Selma, She would have to come with me tomorrow as would Bran and his team. With that in mind I sent instructions to Bran and my base and had the ship made ready.

It's not that. I like my evil characters to be EVIL. She just rubs me the wrong way. Hopefully she'll be more enjoyable.

Triaxx2: This page is intended to set the scene and could not be avoided.

The route we took to get to the base I had tucked away was circuitous to say the least, which was necessary as I didn’t want anyone to have the location of this sector. I’d had the base positioned over a hundred and fifty klicks from the sectors only gate behind an asteroid field to ensure it was not discovered by chance. The only safe way in or out was via the jump beacon I had positioned twenty klicks away from it. I noted my mammoth was already docked which meant Bran, Kleo, Collard and their people would be aboard it waiting for me to arrive. As soon as I’d powered down I went straight to the operations briefing room.
Bran had made himself comfortable he was sat at the conference table with his feet up on it smoking one of those damn cigars of his, and drinking what I assumed was my whisky. I just grinned at him as I took the seat at the head of the table.
“Alright people smoke em if you’ve got em… Collard you don’t have to salute me every time we meet, get your ass sat down and relax a bit. That’s better” I acknowledged as he took a seat towards the end of the table. “Okay sit rep is this…. we’ve got two targets we’ll be dealing with, the first is this one.” I powered up the display and pointed to it with my wand. “The Anarchy port in Loomanckstrat’s, now hopefully this one will not require any offensive action on our part. The second target is the Pirate base in Lost order, now that’s a different kettle of fish… that one we are going to destroy. Bran you’ve been there recently what are we going to be up against?”
“Nothing we can’t handle Arlen, there are two laser towers you keep them busy with wasps and throw a few tempests in for good measure…. They’re history. To be honest I don’t know why you just don’t destroy the base from range. I couldn’t help but notice you do have a couple of nice bombers in your hanger bay.”
“That’s because the bastards tried to kill me Bran, you know how sensitive I can be about that sort of thing.” Bran broke into a rare smile at that remark. “Okay Collard you’ll take Kleo and his men on the Carrick. Your job in lost Order is to deploy Kleo and his people then dock at the base. Once there unload your cargo, you get to keep what they pay you for it by the way. Consider that a bonus payment for this mission, I’ll be docking at the same time acting as your escort so be ready for me to call on your people if I need back up on station. Bran you’ll provide sector wide defence against anything that tries to enter the sector, after you’ve dealt with those towers. Any questions?”
“Just one Ma’am” Collard said raising his hand “Where the hell are we, I mean what are the jump coordinates I need in case we have to abort?”
“That information is classified Collard, if we do have to abort... which I doubt, you jump for the complex in Aladna Hill. Right now you know what the targets are you’ll find detailed orders in your mission packets by the door. Make yourselves comfortable, we leave as soon as your ships have been refuelled and rearmed. Bran walk with me will you, I want to show you the new fighters you’ll be flying?” I left the room with Selma at my side Bran caught up with us as I made my way to the station control centre.
“You think we might have a problem with Collard Arlen? You know we’ve flown Blastclaw’s before.” Referring to the ones he’d obviously seen in the hanger bay.
“We might have Bran, Ceri say’s he definitely wasn’t working with Rana. Also the story he gave about how he got hold of that Carrick with no real damage doesn’t wash, I think that’s one of hers. The clincher for me is that he seems awfully keen to know the location this base… So slight change of plan I’m going to want your people aboard the Tanto, wait till Collard has left the sector then dock with her. I’ll have the Tachi to hand in case things go south.”
“I get it you think he’s working for Ceri.”
“It’s either that or some other unit within the fleet “I admitted “His being handed over for me to use was just a bit too easy, I checked with Kleo and Collard’s been asking all sorts of questions when he thought he wasn’t being noticed. His wanting to know the location of this base sort of confirmed things for me… I want you to keep an eye on him Bran. If he foul’s up in any way you take him out, I’ll make some additional arrangements to make sure Ceri or whoever Collard is really working for doesn’t frack things up for us. Did you speak to that Boron like I asked?”
“Yeah I’ve had the package put on board the Kaiken, I take it you’re going to have Selma here piloting her for you.”
“Who else but don’t spoil the surprise Bran she hasn’t seen her yet.” Bran just grinned and excused himself. He knew that the warning about Collard was the only reason I’d wanted to speak to him in private.
“What ship are you going to want me to pilot for you Arlen, I like our Mamba?”
“It’s a surprise Hun, look just be patient a few Mizura longer and I’ll take you down to the hanger deck to see her. I’ve got a few things I need to deal with here first.” I added as we walked into the control room.
Hanes wasn’t surprised to see me, no sooner had I entered the room than he walked up with a data pad ready to hear what I wanted done. I gave him the orders and told him where and when I wanted the Tachi to be along with her tender.
“Well that will please Erine at least Arlen you know she hates it when Jako’s left on the side lines?”
“She’s a girl after my own heart Hanes make sure the tender is stocked to the gills, are the guys ready?”
“Always so what’s the score here Arlen, you planning to start a war?”
“It might turn out that way, let Jako know that once the target is taken care of he and his crew get their usual bonus. If he manages to capture any of the heavies that are in system they'll get a full share. I’ll be on the hanger deck if I’m needed. Come on Selma I think it’s about time you had a look at the ship I got for you.”
That piqued her interest, she followed me into the elevator, and moments later we were looking out across the hanger bay from the Balcony that gave a good view of the place.
“There she is Selma what do you think?” I asked pointing to the Hyperion that had now been fully refurbished and polished to perfection.
“You’ve got to be kidding me right? Gunne’s sake Arlen how the hell did you get hold of one of those, and what on earth makes you think I can pilot the damn thing. I’m a fighter jock not a Corvette pilot for fracks sake?”
“Trust me Hun that ship" I pointed to the Kaiken, "flies better than a damn fighter, we’re going to be spending a lot of time aboard her in the near future so you’ll have plenty of time to get used to how she moves, in the meantime there’s some old friends here I’m sure you’ll want to say hello to.”
That just puzzled the hell out of her till she heard Saya’s voice ringing out across the hanger as she chewed out one of her people. I found her stood on a gantry looking down on the Kaiken where she was going over the final pre-flight system checks.
“Saya I see you decided to accept my job offer, what do you think of the place?”
“Hell Arlen” she cried out rushing over and hugging me tightly, “I couldn’t believe it when Bran told me what was going on, after what happened to you in Aladna I knew it was time to quit. The fleets gone bad Arlen, hell you've gotta know that some dick wad Lieutenant Rana didn’t arrange all that by himself. Then when Bran told me about this job of yours I put my papers in real fast. Hell the fleets been after me to retire for jazura, I decided it was time to oblige them… got most of my primo team to come with me, so you going to tell me what’s going on, or what?”
“I don’t really have the time right now Saya why don’t you take us aboard and show Selma her new ship?” That pleased Saya no end she’d always had a soft spot for Selma, it also stopped Selma pestering me with questions I wasn’t ready to answer just yet.
Erine was stood at the access way guarding the ship she just grinned as we stepped on board and without a word fell in just behind us, she’d obviously heard I was letting Jako take part in this op. I think Selma was a little overawed by the ship and she seemed grateful when Saya sat her down in the command chair on the bridge and powered up the side monitors to show her all the toys she’d been busy installing since she’d arrived. She kept looking to me for approval or confirmation this was actually happening then when I nodded that was the case she started asking Saya some real hard questions as to the Kaiken’s capabilities. I left the bridge and went down to the mess hall where Erine had her people waiting for me.
“Ladies, gentlemen… sorry about putting you through all those training courses, it’s time I brought you up to speed. You will be based on this ship pretty much full time, your Captain is Selma, don't look so worried she is a dammed fine pilot. I’ve no doubt she’ll want to meet you soon enough. Now I don’t want you worrying that you are going to be left out of the action… fact is you are going to be the blade of the spear so to speak, so don’t be surprised to see me joining you when things get heavy.”
“Arlen what’s this we hear the fleet tried to take you out?”
“Yeah that happened, not all the fleet mind… but enough for me to warn you not to trust the fracker’s Kaylen. Push comes to shove you trust the people in this room no one else, now the good news is that you all get combat hazard pay from here on out. If three's anything you need you let Erine know I’ll make sure you get it. That’s all I can say at the moment, except get some rest we move out within the stazura. Erine if you could brief them on the coming mission I’d be obliged, I need to check on our Captain.” Erine snapped a crisp salute as I rose and left the room to make my way back to the bridge.
(Edited to correct a couple of Howlers Anni spotted. Damn Critic's!)

Loomanckstrat’s:
Selma was busy playing that’s the only word I could use to describe it as she passed through the asteroid field repeatedly passing so close to some of the rock’s that some of the crew were getting a little pale.
“I’ll be in our quarters, join me when you’ve finished getting a feel for her” I whispered in her ear.
The quick grin she gave me was I suspected all the answer I was going to get so I left her to it and made my way aft. As promised the package Bran had collected was waiting for me on the table in our lounge. I opened it and noted the data stick that was contained within. That’s odd I thought the Boron scientist I’d employed had already sent me very precise instructions on the packages contents which I’d commissioned him to develop.
It’s some form of trap was my first thought, which being an assassin I knew it was possible. Unlikely but possible. I removed the stick carefully and scanned the thing, it was exactly what it appeared to be. Even so I pulled on a pair of gloves before removing it from its casing and inserting it into the com terminal. The stick dumped a com link number with a text message that I should contact him immediately. I copied the link number down then removed the stick in case it did have any undetected surprises for me then setting the machine to record called the man, well fish I suppose is a more apt description for the Boron.
“Doctor Mori Lu, you said this was urgent is there a problem?” He was obviously at home as it took a half second for the machine to transmit what he was saying. I must admit it was odd seeing him floating free in front of his terminal instead of in an Enviroment suit.
“Ms Brano it is a pleasure to see you once more, alas my work has revealed some unpleasantness regarding the nature of the nannites you have been self-administering to maintain your mobility.”
“Go on” I prompted him figuring he had discovered that the things could be shut down remotely as Ceri had already demonstrated, feeling a flash of irritation as I recalled how easily she had humiliated me in her office.
“This is most distressing Ms Brano I must advise that you cease injecting these nannites into your body at once, they have two major functions the first is to control your hormonal balance the second is most distressing. It may be possible that they have not yet had time to absorb sufficient amounts of the compounds required to complete the second task they were designed to carry out.”
Secondary task!? That did not sound good, I asked him to explain exactly what he'd discovered. He proceeded to give me a detailed explanation of just what the bastards had done to me, yeah they had turned my nannite maintained vertebrae into a fracking bomb. More importantly he explained how the necessary chemical components had been introduced.
That was slick, I wondered if Sandy even knew what was in the stuff he’d been injecting into the bottles of wine he’d sent me from Antigone. The Good Doctor did have some good news if you could call it that… He could operate to remove the physical components of the device, yeah and about half my spine in the process…. It would have to be carried out in a secure facility where the device could not be triggered of course. Yeah I had one of those here at the base, once I told him that he agreed to carry out the procedure so I arranged to send a transport for him, the equipment and the people he thought would be necessary to carry out the operation.
There was one piece of good news if you could call it that, in the package he’d sent me were a couple of phials of a semi organic compound that would in the short term prevent the nannites from receiving the signal to activate the device in my back. The stuff would coat them with a chemical that should block any EM field. Snag with that was the stuff was poisonous and would kill me if it wasn’t flushed out of my system within a wozura of using it.
Oh Ceri had got me good with this she’d been manipulating me keeping me tranquilised without me knowing it, and as a failsafe had turned me into a walking bomb she could trigger whenever she felt like it. No wonder the bitch had seemed so dammed sure of herself whenever we’d spoken, I remembered the first time she’d used the trigger on me back in her office. I had a pretty strong feeling that Collard would have a similar remote, just in case of course. It filled in a lot of gaps for me like.... why my team were suddenly unavailable for a job we were exceptionally well trained for. I expect she didn’t want to lose her team of highly trained killers when she set this bomb of, as for Collard I doubt she had told him what would happen if he used the damn remote he’d given her, probably had told him to press the button if he felt I was likely to make a grab for it as well. It’s what I would have done in her position, which told me she considered Collard and his people expendable.
I sat there for a good five mizura unable to think clearly as I considered my options. The first was I could use the UFJD and hideout in a gateless sector where she wouldn’t be able to trigger the fracking thing. Problem I had with that was it would give those bastards in lost order time to disperse and hide once they learnt I was on to them. Add to that I wanted payback from Ceri for this. There had to be a solution to my problem I just had to find it, I reran the recording of the call paying particular attention to the Doctors detailed analysis of the separate compounds that had been used to fashion the trinary bomb they’d stuck inside me. First thing I did after that was give myself a double dose of flash.
That should overcome any suppressants in my system. Then I injected myself with the stuff the Doctor had sent me. As the drugs took effect I felt my mind racing with ideas on how to deal with this situation. I was back I realised as the flash took effect and saw my eyes sparkling back at me reflected in the display screen.
"ABOUT FRACKING TIME YOU STUPID BITCH! DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW LONG I'VE BEEN STUCK HERE WAITING FOR YOU TO WAKE UP?"
Oh yes I was definitely back I felt the adrenaline coursing through my veins like liquid fire, Ceri was going to pay for this insult. I felt a warm glow of almost sensual pleasure as I considered how best to hurt her the most.

Continued:
I got real busy after that I had a mountain of things to get done, and no time to arrange things myself. Hanes would see to it, I had absolute faith in his belief that I would be seriously pissed if he didn’t make it happen. Once that was done I called Erine and briefed her on what was likely to happen at some point once we’d dealt with the Pirates on the base in Lost Order. She didn’t like it at first till I told her what I had planned for Collard, then her smile slowly broadened till it matched my own.
Once everything was set I had Selma jump us to the East gate of Loomanckstrats. It would take us longer to arrive there but I wanted to avoid the minefields in the sector and truth be told I was in no real rush to meet Ja t’zkt the Split who ruled the place, our paths had crossed several times in the past though he hadn’t known it.
Once docked at the station Erine joined me as we entered the access corridor and were confronted by two armed guards barring the entrance to the station. I said nothing, just stared at them and waited.
“We were told you would be unarmed.” One finally said glancing to the hilt of the Tachi sword clearly visible over my shoulder “and no one agreed to the presence of an escort.” He continued looking to Erine who was wearing her full combat rig complete with Otas repeater fitted to its shoulder mount, and the phase pistol in the holster on her right thigh. I ignored him and spoke to the camera that Ja t’zkt was no doubt using to watch this confrontation.
“The matter is easily resolved then I shall wait here for two mizura if by that time I have not been permitted to pass I shall return to my ship, and Ja t’zkt can meet me there.”
Ja t’zkt studied the woman, she was smaller than expected given the rumours he’d heard of her, the fact that she carried a Jatra worn in the correct manner did not escape his notice either.
One rumour had proven to be true, whereas most assassin’s eyes were cold and dead this woman’s eyes blazed with fire as a Split’s might. The lower half of her face was masked by a distortion field, he wondered idly if that face was as beautiful as her eyes. Then as she half turned to speak he caught a glimpse of the Jatra sheath that had been obscured till then. She had been trained by a Split master then, a Jatra such as hers could only have been granted by him or she would have died before now for wearing it.
Intrigued he ordered them both to be allowed to pass, no doubt the guard was in the employ of the Assassin’s Guild itself. He watched her as they made his way to this office… It was a risk of course, but one his instincts told him he should take.
Once word of this meeting spread the other Clan leaders would have even more reason to fear him. As Sabine stepped into his office her escort he noted looking past Sabine through the doorway took up a position in the hallway beyond facing his own men. So her Guild was holding to the arrangements they’d agreed to… he relaxed his grip on the blaster that was fitted to the underside of his desk and rose to greet her.
“Lord Ja t’zkt” she said acknowledging his title. “My Guild have instructed me to present you this for your attention.” Moving slowly so as not to alarm his guards she removed a slim plas folder from an inner pocket of the long leather coat she wore, placing it on the desk, then pushed it with just enough force that it reached his hand.
Whilst the others watched the folder he saw her fingers dance to him, they warned of a traitor in this very room. Giving no sign he’d seen that warning he picked up the folder to read it. There were two pages within, the first was a list of names her Guild would be punishing for seeking the death of one of their own… That he assumed would be Sabine, given the anger in her eyes that made her so attractive to him. The second page stated only that their reprisals would include the destruction of the base in Lost Order. That would not trouble him unduly, Kepmanckset the fat Paranid who ruled that foul place would be no loss to the verse nor in truth would any of his clan.
“If you would turn to the third page you will find a list of those we have learnt plan to betray you Ja t’zkt”.
His guards stepped in front of him as they saw the message her fingers wove for them alone. Before he could react he saw a pistol being drawn and pointed towards him, Sabine moving with a speed he had not suspected leapt onto the desktop drawing her sword and severed Mandor’s arm at the wrist in a single fluid movement. With that done she stepped back landing lightly on her feet as she sheaved that bastard sword of hers and resumed her place. There was no blood from the wound, which surprised him a little still.... given her profession he could see the advantage in that wondering at the trick of it.
"I am in your debt Sabine, I assume you did not know which of these men the traitor was till he betrayed himself. Hence the reference to the third page which does not exist," He held up the only two pages that the folder had contained. "I also find myself wondering why he still lives.” The man was smart I had to give him that, two of the other men in the room dragged the wounded traitor away with Ja t’zkt warning them he wanted him kept alive.
“He was not mine to kill” I admitted. “Still I am sure you will remedy that in time.” His answering grin to that was vicious.
"I think I like him. perhaps you should invite him aboard the Kaiken."
“Then we are done Sabine it has been an honour to meet you," he gave me a brief serva kai which I returned "I will not object to the sanctions your Guild intend to impose.” He continued in Split, testing me further still.
“Then our business is done I will take my leave of you Ja t'zkt.” I responded in kind, enjoying the look of surprise on his face before leaving.
“Ah what a woman.... I wonder what she would be like in bed?” Ja t'zkt wondered aloud his eyes following Sabine as she left.
“Lethal I expect my Lord” Ch t’nt answered dryly as he resumed his customary place at his side.
“True but it would be a glorious death Ch t'nt.” Ja t’zkl chortled, Ch t’nt hoped his lord was joking, but he suspected otherwise.

Slightly off topic here I know:
One, who I will not name;
Has in her enthusiastic approach in playing X3AP managed to break her Logitech attack 3 joystick. To be fair I think it was fairly old.
I obviously need a replacement, unfortunately this model no longer seems to be available. So I was hoping some of you might have suggestions for a similar if a little more "ROBUST" one. Feel free to post or PM me or Annette if you know of a good one.
Sabrina.

Very true, I have promised to get her a new one though so she knows I'm not really upset. At the moment she's searching through the web pages of local PC suppliers. (Don't be alarmed I have warned her there is a ceiling on what I am prepared to spend on this.)Song Of Obsidian wrote:Get a kid new toys and they start breaking the old ones. Typical.
I don't have any suggestions, since I haven't used a joystick any time in the last couple decades. But I couldn't pass up the opportunity to poke fun.
The things you have to do to get a little peace and quiet in your own home, I don't know.

Pops up on eBay for 18 US.
Then again, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the Saitek x5X series. Had the chance to play with a friends some years ago. Wanted one of my own ever since.
Would also like to try one of these:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6879337003
Though you could go whole hog as it were: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6826280021

The whole Hog at $400

Definitely not. I'm thinking maybe fifty quid or so approximately $100-150 Max.
I did suggest a game pad controller $20 but she's having none of it.

Stop bullying Triaxx Song. I think he and I are on the same wave length here, and I'll have you know I'm a very good driver. Unlike someone we all know who keeps finding new places to put dents in our car.Song Of Obsidian wrote:I like it when Annie's charming. That's the point where I stop talking to her to avoid saying something nice.
That x52 looks like it belongs in a scifi movie, Triaxx. Totally unfit for Annie. Think she's flying spaceships around or something? Perish the thought.
No names being mentioned, but I think you all know who I'm talking about here.

Ps. Triaxx I had a look at that one you mentioned, but after Sabrina's earlier comments... I think I'll settle on something a litttttle bit more expensive..... Say about $399:99 including sales tax.

Yeah, showing that one off was a bit unfair. Then again, that's almost 80% of the cost of my new computer. I'm certain I'd never hear the end of it.

I'll definitely be looking at that one, thanks for the suggestion. What you have to do when thinking of Annie is think SPLIT!A99899 wrote:I have been using a Extreme 3D pro for years now it is very sturdy.
I wonder if Eat is looking for a bridle?

Okay Short sit/rep update:
I've just finished updating to windows 10, seemed like a good move as I was having problems with Win 7 that Shaun was using:
Slight problem.....
I am going to have to get used to it as they have moved things around a bit, most notably was the fact it won't speak to Word 2013 so I am downloading the new Office 365 2016 pack as we speak.
I am still preparing to post the next page but it , might take longer than I anticipated.
No Song I am not quitting, you know who wouldn't let me even if I was thinking of it.
Gods the ingratitude (I did buy her that fancy stick Triaxx mentioned. The X52 PS34 £139.99)
Now as to the current storyline I have after listening to your comments decided to alter direction again. Don't worry about this vast Empire Sabine seems to be building. I am working towards the end game where this is not a factor. Of course I would appreciate any comments good or bad to help keep me on track from your perspective.
Love you all
Sabrina.

I think Sabrina is being a bit unfair, yes she did get me that J/Stick.
What she didn't tell you was that she also bought herself an new all singing and dancing printer scanner thing, and that I have to cook dinner today.
Takeaways not allowed.... Sigh!
Result I am going to knock her pants off with the meal and she has promised to get back working on this story later today.
Reesult I think.
