Unlikely that we'll be able to do much about any of that TBH. Implementing a completely new UI part like a gravidar is if at all not going to happen anytime soon.

[Request] skip NPC dialogs

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! -make 'skip' button for dialogs with NPCs on stations.

Since you have to get into stations and make smalltalk for n^n!n (infinite) time about this topics:
-AI
-Highways
-PMC using Xenon
-VI
..well, right now I can tell from memory all dialog options.. plus it take them years to say it all.
Buying/Selling/Checking Prices is also traumatic while You always have to hear full greeting and goodbyes..

In fact it is a good start to discuss the map thing, there's no need to lol.
Ok, the EvE example is a bit over the top and will not happen in this way.
Depending of the posibilities the modders have outside the core I'm pretty sure it is possible to do some improvements throu scripting.

btw. Bernd has sayed that a general Map overhaul is in their queue.

We have no idea if its hardcoded or not, so discussing this is not "lol". What would make sense is to hold off doing anything like this until Egosoft do what ever changes they want to do.

Wanting to skip the main campaign until it's fixed, I figured sandbox mode would be better, and 'lo! No trade ship at start really sucks ;)

Not sure how easy/hard this is - I want my Mercury back!

Yes -I've got no idea how modding works. I'm CG artist with some programming past plus I work with programmers. So thing that I wrote about don't seem that complicated. [while you have original source files].

Maybe it's 'a good start to discuss the map thing' but rather in general forum/request.


STILL -tweaking markers and distance data is quite in a right place.

[REQUEST] My first Mod ideas!

My first thought while walking on the skunk was "damn that thing is small, i can't even climb that ladder".

So i think expanding the interior by allowing the player to move up that ladder and have another two rooms (DEFINITELY engine room and maybe drone storage or similar stuff) would be nice.

Removes all the trade and show me your skill dialogues incl the NPC replies. I take a look into removing some of the others.

[Request] Punch People in the face mod + end anoying space station sound

Dear Modders,

I would like to make a Request, I´ll pay 20 Bucks for it:
Please make a "slap anoying seller in the face" Mod.

Everytime a NPC gives a dumb answer, or is saying something which doesnt fit, like "I can´t speak to you right now" when asking about infos... or just for the fun of it, you start a mini-game, like the conversation game. when you miss a little, you give the Npc a little slap in the face, and when you get it on point, you beat the living hell out of him and get something cool, like provisions or info...

This would be espacially cool when you make the "broken" "prison escape" misson and dont get on board in time when that captain borman is only saying : "get ready to jump" -> SLAP -> campaign continues !

And could someone turn of that anoying sound in some space stations ? I really get sick of that sound, it sounds like a 3 or 4 tone wrong sound...

OHH and by the way, change the music in the bars ... that is crappy to !!!

For me the problem isn't that Granny shows up in my game, I'm sure there will be old people in the future, but rather the very scary disconnection between the face and the rest of the person.
Seeing the face of a 60-70 year old with the voice of a young woman and the body of a lingerie model is rather disturbing. :shock:

[request] Engineer latent repair on cap

As it stands u need luck to be able to repair cap ships as is, 1: need the droid pod to be not destroyed 2: the ship dealer actually supplies the droids for the ship. in 4 tries i've had 1 with an intact droid pod but no ship dealer that wants to sell me any droids. So what I was thinking was giving the engineer a latent repair, say it fixes 0.1 procent for each 2-5 min to maximum of 5% of the subsystems. That would fix the no droid pod issue and even a makeshift trader vessel/war ship. To fix the rest u would still need to find a ship dealer with Construction URV or equivelent.

Any one willing to do this?

You'd think so, but it doesn't work. Even setting that number to 0 doesn't make the highways more or less transparent.

( Mod Request ) Can rotate head in to cockpit

This isn't an important mod ( the mod abous orders is far away more important in my opinion ), however it will be wonderful can rotate head in to cockpit ...I mean drive the albion and at the same time can rotate head...maybe with pad numb or holding a button and use mouse.

Even setting that number to 0 doesn't make the highways more or less transparent.
