In early versions the mod was still using the "MainMenu.xml" file. Please check if you still have that file in your "Steam\steamapps\common\X Rebirth\extensions\NESA\md\" directory, and if so delete it.

Thank you so much for this! Being able to see NPC skills before hiring makes things a lot less tedious.

since i've flying aroung for several minutes, trying to find the trader i am talking to, i got another idea:

if you choose a person from the menue, you first come to another menue with the options:
1 open comm-channel
2 show me where you are

if you choose 2 it has the same effect as the "ask for people"-communication

Hi

Love the sound of this mod, but it doesn't seem to work for me.

Ive unzipped it into the extension folder.
Ive started a new game, also removed all the previous mods incase there was issues between then and I still cant see anything at menu 3-3...

Am I doing something wrong?

I didn't have an older version, I had v0.7 . Does it work with patch 1.15?

unfortunately I don't see an option at 3-3 either, not only did I try looking through the save and settings, but I also tried starting a new game. The option just doesn't appear.

Also, would it be possible to maybe set it so that it searches for individuals of a certain species, I like having an all Teladi crew a lot of the time.

Easier config

Here you go:

NESAurator --- Virustotal analysis

You can easily setting NESA with this little app. Just run from anywhere you downloaded, then open NESA config xml file and make your settings. When you are finished, just tap "Save".

WARNING there is a very little bug/exception handling in this app, so if you catch a Windows exception, just show me via PM or here in the forum. 8)

Yes, that would in fact be great. I was thinking about doing that myself, but I am too busy continuing with the actual mod, so if you could help out here that would be awesome.

Indeed, I just tried to start a new game, and it didn't work. However, what fixed it for me was to immediately save the game, and reload it. Then you should see the installation message (that it states 'V0.1.0' is my bad, it is indeed 'V0.7.0').

About races: I don't plan to add filtering for that, sorry.

I might implement this in the future, but for now it's out of scope.

This mod is great. One of my favorites. Even when we have a good, compelling reason to enter stations, this mod will still remove the monotonous reasons to do so.

One request: Could you change all the instances of "facedetailmonitor" to "closeupdetailmonitor". As your script gets last say, it overwrites the removal of the upclose monitors mod. I just updated it to remove the angles from the missions and npc md scripts, and that is when I noticed the conflict. I think I got all of the angled views, so go ahead and fully integrate it if you want.

Thanks again, NESA greatly improves the game.

Edit: Actually, I have no idea what I am doing :P I will look into it more.

Hi Nebogloee,

I have just looked at your code, and you are replacing far too much stuff (replacing whole action nodes). That makes your mod quite incompatible to others mods and future patches.

If you want, you can have a look at my NPC_<type>.xml scripts, and see how to properly replace stuff with minimal modifications. I would also suggest, you have a look at the RFC 5261 as well as the XPath specification. The only other thing you need to know is that for a replacement to work, the target node must be uniquely identified by the expression, meaning you can't replace many nodes at once.
