Brilliant news...Many tanks Abyss and Egosoft for the UPDATE on the next patch.
Yes UPDATE!!! did you lot (yes you know who you are, the whinging ones, which totally beggars belief) actually read the post, you know bits like this is not an exhaustive list, just a list of some of the main features of this patch.
OK the game had its flaws on release, but with previous patches and Abyss' update of the new patch it seems to me that the team at egosoft have been working pretty hard to fix the main problems that people have been mentioning in the forums. Thus giving us a playable game in time for the Xmas break.
You know they did'nt have to give us an update a lot of Developers don't..
Thanks again Abyss and Egosoft
And for Fraks sake people stop whinging about an update(WHICH WE ALL ASKED FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE) of work ongoing on the next patch and wait for it to be released
You never now we might not get an update next time if we all winge about this one.........Mmmmm Isn't this what we were told before by egosoft as being the reason why they don't like giving updates about patches

The sound is out of sync (it seems to me MOST have this problem) Totaly unplayable on my computer!!! I have more that the recomended requirments. This was rushed out in BETA form. I dont know why I should be surprised X2 was the same way a POS at first. I will never by any games from EAGOSOFT EVER AGAIN.

I too am concerned as we've seen little ackowledgement of the problem. I imagine they can't find what to fix.. without this issue resolved this patch will mean nothing to me.marilynmarduk wrote:Whats about the Freeze Problem??
Will it be fixed too?
All they mention are performance increases/fixes. The Freeze is not a performance related bug.

I think that fixing performance issues may in fact fix crashes/freezes. It seemed to me that some of the things mentioned were General, so I am assuming that a wide variety of things will be included in each thing mentioned. They may not be able to fix all the problems in this patch, but if they can fix most of them then you can be assured they can focus on the ones they couldn't find/fix in this patch.
Also, I don't think some of you are actually reading what is said in this post because some of you are repeating things already asked/answered. I believe that the whole idea of the GOD fixing the economy has to do with the respawning of stations and of trading ships. Also you can always download the JTP script and Terracorp script both of which respawn stations and/or create new stations.

Thank you very much for the update!!
Anyway, I have seen ships crash into the station when undocking. Not the small ship, but the larger super-cargo ships. Just a *hint* as it shouldn't be too difficult to correct (not to mention it has some familiarity with the "-ship straiking the gate following the jump".

The shortest X² joke.
A boron cried: Help, I'm drowning!
The silliest accidents in the X Universe.
A Teladi bit himself on the tongue: since then he's had a speech impediment and lisssssps.
A Paranid lost his life surfing. He was riding a shockwave.

Honestly, I've never had a single crash.
I have some of those games that have starforce and never had a problem with starforce as well.
Anyway what great news.
Though my frame rate is on an acceptable level already.
But , with mobile mining back, I guess I finally can mine. (If it is really fixed, heh)
