Last year, we were calling it the "Ship Rebalance Mod: Continued" -or SRM. ;)

Don't worry: I've fixed the non-spawning Kha'ak issue for the next update of XRM, so TMs and Clusters are spawning properly again now.

As stated, Pirate, Xenon, and Yaki assault groups are now (finally!) fully mobile again, too! So you'll soon have plenty to shoot at without having to use extra scripts. :D

(It will probably require a new game or a forced reset of the Jobs to make all of them show up and work properly, though! But, all being well, this will be the very last time such an update is required. I hope so. I've only been able to play X3TC properly for about 13 hours since we started development of XRM. I'm so tired of tweaking and editing now. :cry: )

Good to hear it. The less scripts I need to run to get the game how I like it the better. I wont give up Brennans triumph Tortuga though! Why dont more people use that? it adds so much life to the universe around Brennans Triumph. (A local pirate economy with pirate civs to boot)

Anyhow, the khaak not spawning thing would explain why everything seemed so quiet:P Glad you got it fixed.

Also I want to give a +1 to Smart turrets. Fantastic work there. Shimrod has a real winner on his hands.

Likely because the name isn't commonly translated into the English there, and it doesn't seem to be in Lucike's Script Collection pack anymore.

I wanted to try it, but I couldn't find it in the pack nor anywhere else. Plz to be geifings links kthx?? :cry:

Well, Mizuchi from about thirty minutes in the past, there is a way to force a Jobs update so that all the changes take effect without having to start a new game; but you didn't like (or think) to mention it until now...
Very good recipe. I want to update when changes to the file Jobs, I use a script Kill All Ships

Even so, when will new version of the mod XRM I start a new game.

Hey. I've just spent looking for three hours for a shipyard that sells ore mines or mines of any kind really, but no luck. Even tried other stations and nothing. Been to Argon Prime, Cloudbase Southeast. I also found a mining headquarters place in Ore Belt, but that didn't have any stations I could buy.

This is in Argon space (as obvious by the Argon sectors :P). Now according to websites, all the shipyards should sell a lot more stations than they are selling...but many seem to be missing or not listed...like the mines I want to get is one example. I had the same problem as the Paranid, but eventually found a station of some type that sold medium and large (only one of both, and that was it, no small ones or anything else)


Is my game messed up in some way? I have the latest patch, and this is on a very fresh install of X3. Or does X3 Rebalance change where you buy stations and mines? If so, any recommendations on where to find a mine I can buy to setup? I only ask as a last resort and three hours as come back with nothing.

Just want to make sure my game isn't messed up somehow, and X3 Rebalance actually changes how shipyards sell stations or mines.

Only one weapons dealer jumps around like research stations, the black market strong arms weapons dealer xl, which sells any weapon to anyone regardless of Rep.

The empires edge one must have been destroyed. GOD should respawn it in time.
I haven't seen this Black Market Strong Arms Weapons dealerXL. I have only seen a L Strong arms dealer in Matriarch's thorn and a Medium one in thrk's deprivation.

Are you saying that I should use the cheat menu to replace the ones that were lost?
The black market one is in an unknown sector somewhere... its supposed to be hard to find.

No - the game should replace them itself after a while.
I kinda doubt that the weapons dealers in Empire's edge AND Matriarch's thorn disappeared. I think something went wrong. We'll see if they respawn...

You need to be looking for the Corporate Showrooms.

The Corporations now handle the civilian stations and ships, leaving the Military Shipyards to handle the more military-centric stuff. :)

Oh okay. Thanks :) Next time I get on X3, I'll see if there are any systems I've been in, have one. That explains it...was worried my game was bugged or something.

That is actually a really cool change/addition.

it's not down, go here for the script collection or any other mod or script by him

he sort of removed all the files on these forums because of what's happening, so he's hosting them on another site.

I can find everything but Tortuga on there. I'm likely just missing something obvious.

Hmm, haven't been able to find any showroom(s). I don't want an exact location, but is there one in Argon space...like around Argon Prime and surrounding sectors? Or do I need to find another race's home nearby? Like the Boron? There are the Paranid to the south, but I believe they are enemies to Argons so I haven't been to their sector. My Paranid character got attacked by Argon ships, so I assume it would be same with Argons.

Now I have a serious question seeing how Gazz has his oos rebalance script there are two versions now

this script works in tandem with MARS and several other of his scripts

Version 1 which is the performance hog - http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=249331

and Version 2 which is the streamlined version that isn't a performance hog -

question is which one do use if to use them at all?

version two has a types folder which is what worries me.

Version 1, the performance hog, should work.

Version 2 does not, unless there is already an adjusted version for XRM around.

I have been talking to Gazz about making an XRM compatible version of his OOS Rebalance 2, but its not ready yet. I think its still very much a work in progress script anyway. So stick with version one for now which should work fine.

There are lots of showrooms around. There is generally one showroom for every shipyard in a nearby sector. So there are two in the cluster of argon sectors around argon prime. There ls also a boron one in a sector near kingdom end. They should be easy to find.

I'm way late to this part of the conversation, but:

The part about the rearguard bombers that I disliked was that they didn't stick to their race territory, it's not that I didn't want them there in their entirety. Having paranid bombers shoot the hell out of stuff in paranid space is fine. Having them do the same in argon or boron space is not. It's the latter that drove me nuts, given I was hostile to paranid, but boron/argon weren't, so they didn't touch the rearguards.

I have MARS with goblins on bigships, and missile defense mosquito on small ships, so cross-sector missilespam is not instadeath =D

On that note, Litcube's missile script has an optional download that has tuned down "INCOMING MISSILE" sounds, so that becomes a lot more bearable as well. :o

Started a brand new game 1.04c and installed all the recommended scripts.. some by .spk due to that being the only type available and no fake patch.

Seeing weird Federal Argon Shipyards selling 1 disruptor missile only in Paranid space.. I assume that was supposed to be a showcase station or a PAR shipyard maybe...

Again, only mods/scripts I have that are on the recommended page... any idea which mod/script from that page may be conflicting with this file that deals with stations?

Do not use that mod if running the English version of XRM. It will block betty from saying all the new names.

I have removed the incoming missile alert from the XRM if running TC in english.

You must have a mod with a conflicting file, probably X3_Universe.xml, tdocks or tfactories. Please double check which mods you have installed and check that you have followed any required instructions for the recommended mods.
