I am more angry at those in this forum who are picking up shit and throwing it at the devs than i am at the devs themselves, people really need to get a grip in this forum, if the devs get so fed up that they stop patching we ALL really will be in the shite.
Amen.
got the usa CE, and though i am abit annoyed by bugs, i am generally happy with the product and have faith that issues will be fixed in an expedient fashion

Just out of curiosity:

1. Have you played any of the previous games? And if so did you like them?
2. Are you primarily a console gamer or PC?

You might be onto something ;)
The question is, how many times do you think one man or woman can listen to it before 1.18 comes out ;) ?

P.s. Omg lol funny and true xP

That was funny. :)

It's not that bad. It just takes some patience and experimentation.

I learned it in X3:R and it only took a few hours to get the hang of it.

Ah the dilemma ! If they act too quickly they risk another 1.17 and new bugs worse than the old ones. If they don't act at all in this weekend they risk losing another bit of the little heroic support they still have.
Decisions, decisions...

I dont think so. Trading its huge problem right now. I think if they fix trading and some minor bugs will come ... we can accept that.

It's never "that bad" in hindsight.
But for someone used to today's games?

Fighter, attack something!
Nope.
Oh, you were in a squad. My bad. What's the button, ah, there. Remove from squad.

Fighter, attack something!
Err, where's the attack command? Ah, right. Missing the software. Lemme fix that...

Fighter, attack something!
Nope.
Umm. What is it now? Sigh. Weapons. Need to "install" the weapons in those bays. Of course...

You know what? Forget it. I'll do it myself.

Could you explain the "more immersion" bit for me please? I'm not sure what you are referring to exactly.

Friday (black friday even) 17:40 CET.

Last patch was the 23rd.

Almost a week (tomorrow is a week) siince that.

Where is 1.18?

I guess the game is a success because they are drinking up the money they fooled out of all of us who believed them to be geniuses for creating all those awesome X games.

*sigh*

By new user I hope you mean this: [ external image ]

I dont think the UI was really ever a problem. The problem was how the game starts... no tutorial or escalation of UI usage. The player is just dumped into the universe with everything at their disposal but no idea what that even is. They have to learn via trial and error. Many games would be like this if they didnt guide the player through it in the beginning.
