The relevant settings for Patrols attacking would seem to be to ensure that fighters attack small class ships is set to yes.

Odd, mine are doing it now too. Weird. Dropped into X534, and they refused to launch.

One other thought of note, is that since CODEA and ADS don't conflict you can install ADS on stations, and have a static defense force, which is something that CODEA doesn't do.

Anyone using this with XRM:AP having problems?

I installed it and it seemed to be ok, but it also gives me an error on the military transport saying I need the 3.1 version and the version I installed is 3.3. I'm assuming 3.3 is the newer version.

Ensure that the the Military Transport is the latest version. It won't recognize the newer version of the libraries so you'll have to update it instead.

Is it absolutely required to do the whole military transport aspect of the mod? CODEAs really neat and all but I'm .. I don't know sometimes I wish Lucikes mods were just fixing the damn AI and not adding content.

It's not strictly necessary to have Military Transport to use CODEA, but you miss out on repair, and Machinists, Helmsmen, Navigators, and the ability to dock bombers. Those are the reasons I use CODEA, so...

The Carrier can hire pilots without it, and technically you could use Personnel Transporters to retrain marines into the various things, but I'm not sure if they'd work.

OK I think I worked out the issue. At some point military transport and the salary scripts got separated into two separate scripts. You need to DL that one from the site as well. I THINK its working properly now, but I still haven't tried to use it all yet.

Been a long time user and CODEA and always loved it, but there is 1 thing which is mision from it

I think there should be another wing, Its crossed between patrol and major offensive

So like the patrol function you choose how many fighters there are per wing, But to use them you tell them exacly what target to go for like major offensive. SO something along the line of a strike force

yeah basicaly, would make sence for stuff liek assasination missions, or other priority targets

this wing would be perfect for the m3B ships in XRM

Ok I think I have this all working with the various scripts. My question would be if you assign a pilot does the improved ai work even if you are not using a codea attack? I other words if I order a random m3 with a high level codea pilot with a standard wing attack, will it still fly like a codea pilot?

I normally use Lucikes Economy and supply trader script.

I was just played with the EST script and everything was working fine. I reinstalled X3 last night and reinstalled all my scripts and added Lucikes CODEA script to my list.

However, neither of his scripts are working now. I have installed them correctly, I have the correct ships with the correct equipment and without any forbidden equipment. I have checked while the game is running and all of the files are in their correct locations.

The commands are not on the carriers for CODEA and not on the freighters for EST. The script doesn't even seem to be activated what so ever because none of the hotkeys for either script is in Controls>Interface.

I'm running 40 scripts/mods and they all work fine, but not these 2. No, there are no conflicts with other mods, I have checked and also re-installed the game and only used these 2 scripts and they still were inactive.

Can someone help me?

Hello.
I would love to use this script, unfortunately I have yet to be able to make it work. It doesn't work no matter how I install it, manually or via plugin manager.

Can anyone give me proper guidelines please? even if I put all the files in it doesn't change anything at all. I think it might be because of the library files as I had the same problem in X3R with the EST script until I figured out how to manually put the library files since the plugin manager just didn't use them properly, but this time it doesn't work.

Chances are if the script isn't working, there was either a corrupted download, or you didn't install the B... libraries. Or didn't install them FIRST. Some of the scripts don't care, but CODEA in particular is very picky about the installation order.
