means you cant use a TC save game in Albion Prelude.Nick Northern wrote:"It is important to note that X3: Albion Prelude will NOT feature savegame compatibility with X3: Terran Conflict."
Does this mean we need to start a new game in TC after we download and install Albion?
so you have to start from the beginning in Albion Prelude

Great news for those who don't want to give Steam money. You do need to install the Steam client. Once you do, on the top there are five menus. Click Games -> Activate a Product on Steam...
You will then need to find the CD key given to you. This can be multiple places. I loaded up Impulse, right clicked the game and picked "View Registration." Gamersgate has it somewhere easy to find when you click the game on the left-side menu.
Here's the bad news:
You will need to fresh install (it won't delete or overwrite your old copy).
Here's the good news: You will have two copies of X3:TC on your computer. Which... when you think about it... is about as awesome as it can get.

I agree. Now I have to force them to learn English!AdrianM wrote:That's a good opportunity and excuse to learn some english .All pilots use it as an internationla /interplanetarylanguage and it is alot easier than russian ...we both know that (ok ,I know more since I had alot of problems with my russian teacher in school
)

The question on the topic: the old story lines - they will remain or not?

I currently have 12gb in my system (soon to be 16gb) and I find it really wrong that I cant even use it all.Sam_Walken wrote:Will Albion have support for using over 2 gigs of RAM?
Its about time that game companies started to produce 64bit version of their games.
I've no idea the actual stats on how many people are still running x32 OS or Chips.
But I would say that anyone still using 32bit cant even run current games.
The companies who port the consoles games, need to see that the new consoles (Xbox720, PS4, Nintendo Poo), will eventually come out in a year or two, and they will be 64bit. So best to start getting on with learning the new (old) way.

I would expect it to support 4gb of total game address space just like TC does now on a 64bit OS. So, the full 32bit if you will. Makes a huge difference (for me at least) over the original 2gb limitation. I apply LAA to all games where it's needed and I can do so.MrLobster wrote:I currently have 12gb in my system (soon to be 16gb) and I find it really wrong that I cant even use it all.Sam_Walken wrote:Will Albion have support for using over 2 gigs of RAM?

64 bit takes a bit more effort, depending on how things are coded. Still, with this bonus being a TC expansion I don't expect there to be too much difference in the core engine - the extra pretties previously mentioned aside.

Am I the only one who feels sad that Torus is blown up and terrans might get their a%$ kicked? xD xD
Anyway, great surprise a pity I cant pre-buy and pre-download it
+ now I need to even more hurry up at finishing terran conflict
EDIT:
P.S: but at least it will let me (hopefully) achieve my plans of gathering huge terran fleet and wiping out everyone else (especially paranid and split
