I need a Tenjin in my next chapter actually, for a special operation.

It's actually called Almost Ridiculously Stupid Experiment (No.2) as there are too in it.

So effectively it shortens down to 'ARSE2 Operation Freebies'

It's a short chapter today, because I've cut down on the endless 'I killed this, this and this, which got me this, this and this, and then did this, then thatm then again...' It's all rather boring!

And also because I've reached a very significant point... let's just say, if I'd left my Cornish Pasty in the microwave for another SECOND. This DiD would be dead. No joke. You'll se how close. I know, negligence on my part...

Chapter 10: Almost Ridiculously Stupid Experiments

I had 120Mcr. Woah. That was… unexpected to say the least. With this I could fund some silly experiments. So I just had to think of some…

Then I did.

Almost Ridiculously Stupid Experiment 1: Stolen Ship Set-up

Or just ARSE 1. Catchy!

1. Promise to return some dudes stolen ship. Repeat until the ship is actually decent!
2. Steal the ship.
3. Don’t return and let the police follow me.
4. Lead them into Yaki space and kill them.

Nice idea, and would have worked, however it became redundant. The Yaki had been… sort of… well. Let’s just say their security had been compromised. By a Guild Outpost in Ocracoke’s Storm. They seemed content to let it stay… for now, but how long would it be before they got bored of it.

I didn’t care however, the Yaki were neutral to me and it looked as if it would stay that way for some time, so I decided the best idea was probably to do something else.

I bought an Orca, for one.

They’re not that expensive, and I knew I would need one to build up infrastructure. I then found a nice quiet pair of sectors near southern Paranid space, and set up an Argon trading station as a base, as it looked nice. Then I homebased my LTs to it, saddened to see there weren’t many left. So I halted trading activity and put them somewhere safe.

I found a rather cheap Hydra, at only 3Mcr. They weren’t the best M6s, but it could make a nice patrol vessel at some point. It just seemed a bit of a fishy deal, considering the fact that the previous owner had even left his squad of marines onboard. Was he trying to dispose of some evidence or something?

I continued hatching a plan whilst raising my money back to around 110Mcr, as a professional Xenon hunter that even the ATF would have been proud of! But I did suffer from the unfortunate loss of XL Size Please, so it was good I'd bought that other one cheap!

I even considered calling my fledgling Corporation ‘The Real ATF’ or something, but changed my mine and the name simply became ‘Lar Vaasott’s’ as it is easily shortened to ‘LV’s’, along with our new motto to replace ‘We don’t do Sushi’. We needed to make things a bit clearer, so the new motto? ‘We do everything except Sushi’. There we go!

Then, as I was constructing a supercomplex in our new home sector… well, next door, disaster struck!

I had already built up 4 Silicon Mines (on asteroids with a 64 yield), 3 BoFu Chemical Labs and 2 Crystal Fabs. I simply needed 3 BioGas Factories, another Crystal Fab and an XL Solar Power Plant it would be done. The problem was, there was an accident involving a rather large Silicon Mine, a Tractor Beam and the Orca… a nasty accident. In which I lost most of the Orca’s equipment… along with… most of the Orca. In fact, it was only my quick thinking of firing the Tractor Beam that saved us, as it moved the asteroid enough to free us only milliseconds before the last 100th of the hull packed in. It was a close call, and we found ourselves drifting, with no jumpdrive or much else, 100Km away from the nearest gate…
