Yeah!!! And now we wait for a bonus patch. And then wait for another patch. And then wait for official words as to what ego will do next. There never is an end to waiting.

Why ? They work like a charm, made 12 or 13 millions yesterday with a few of those, didn't take long, since I was able to do 4 at once =).
... what is a drop of rain, compared to the storm? ... what is a thought, compared to the mind? ... our unity is full of wonder which your tiny individualism cannot even conceive ... I've heard it all before ... you're saying nothing new ... I thought I saw a rainbow ... but I guess it wasn't true ... you cannot make me listen ... I cannot make you hear ... you find your way to heaven ... I'll meet you when you're there ...

Several people have now reported instances of the mission failing as soon as you have scanned the last asteroid. It doesn't happen every time, so I presume that if the time deducted when you scan the last asteroid is greater than the time remaining on the mission, you instantly fail when scanning the last asteroid.

For spoilers, you should try the spoilers forums.

Hi.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm looking for a fix/mod/patch/implantable monkey brain/anything to fix the

autopilot?

Version 2.1, started new game after installing new version. Autopilot crashes into other ships, sometimes killing me.

Currently its the only problem I have with the game.

I have a question about the new "run X3TC in the background" feature. Does this trigger trade and fight rank loss (which happens when X3TC is left running for a long time without user input), or is this only triggered by using SETA?

Hi everyone,

I'm a returning player from the X2 times... I'm trying to patch the game with the new 2.1 patch but when I hit the check for update button in my introductory menu (TC 2.0) it takes me to egosoft website and said that it looks like I have version 2.0.0.0 (I think from memory) and not new update is required . When following the Egosoft website to the download page regardless I found a question mark and not a nice green check mark next to the update option for the patch... what am I missing? why my game seems to don't suggest the update...

Sorry if this is to odviuos enquire...

and BTW: hello to this great community I remember having a good time with this 2 years ago... and you guys (or those) were a great bunch..

I have a feeling that the rank loss is triggered over a certain amount of time with or without SETA, but I'm not sure.

If that's the case, you better download it directly from the download page. It sounds like you will need the 2.0 -> 2.1 patch. Don't worry about the question marks.
Come watch me on Twitch where I occasionally play several of the X games

From what I gather thats right, you just notice rank loss with seta because it is accelerated like everything else.

So then the trick would be to figure out how long we can get away with before the drop kicks in (unless it drops gradually from the beginning).

it starts dropping after an hour of inactivity i belive

it is nothing to do with SETA, it will happen with or without it, but like everything in the game, it happens quicker with SETA on ;)

That's user inactivity, right? Travel by autopilot counts as inactivity?

Yes, if you're not doing anything else. It's user input that appears to be the key.
