Dan,
regarding your points:
1) 5Gj shield fab and Kyon complexes are DDRS-Rebalanced specific. The 5Gj shields are used on certain Teladi capital ships. The kyons are for certain Split ships, or if use the BalaGi PHQ to build Kha'ak ships. Right now the race rep to buy kyons is absurdly low, but will be corrected in a future release *hint*.
2) The DDBH script (yes, read Readme!) is to help us all stay alert! So watch your back...and attack enemy stations with care.

Thanks for the link Deadly (a bit late, I know :oops: )

By the way, what does The DDRS Mini-HUD by Red Spot actually do ?
Does it help to reduce lag or not ?
If brute force doesn't solve your problems, then you aren't using enough

Problem found but no solution

Hi again!
If I was you, I'd get a copy of doubleshadows X3 ModManager installed, and then open the false patch and see what was in there.
I know now from where the problem is comeing.

I had open Cycrow's Script installer and installed scripts after installing your mod. When I closed the Script installer I got
a 10.cat and 10.dat file and under freshly created backup folder a file named TWareT.txt_DDRS_Rebalance_ Mod_V2.

After that I can't load any save game any more.

I have absolutely no idea whats going on here and why that files are created by Cycrow when closing his Script installer.

I also had the duplicate CAT and DAT files they were 6kb and 1kb.

I have a few scripts installed on top of DDR Rebalanced and I am finding the Arena script doesn't show at all now and the Lottery script lets me win every time. Im going to try a reload as it is always possible I have done something wrong.

I do know I was installing the emp thing but reading above I will avoid that now.

sounds like its custom wares file thats being created, you could try disabling that option in the plugin manager and it will prevent it from being created.

that is the only file autocreated by the plugin manager, so if its something else, then not sure what it is. You could try looking at its contents and c what files are in there

i think if i remember correctly that if you are using DDRS emp is not needed as its already included, i had a problem with wares boxes being fired out instead of missiles, and this was solved in the end by getting rid of emp
About the name - i was lost for a name on the forum and looking round, then a Bob Hope film came on, and i thought "that will do nicely"

Every time I'm offered the "TIE Interceptor Raider" it comes up shortly after that the target was taken down by someone else.
OK...found a problem with the ship model.

Once I'm finished testing the fix, I'll upload it and post a message here.

For now...if you are offered a mission for the Tie Interceptor, just reload from the auto save that was made from when you docked and you will be offered an alternate mission. (Missions are selected randomly at the time you docs.)

If you don't have auto save turned on, then reject the mission and wait until the PHQ offers you another one.

So I installed bounty hunter script...and when I was in paranid space the paranid made a bounty on me ( the rank was "friend of priest duke")...after I kill every ship my paranid reputation drop with 4 levels...
How can be change that do not lose reputation...If those ships was out of paranid space I receive the same penalty?...or act like in Red Spot script "Hunt" ...when the ships are out of home space act like pirates...and then I gain x% in reputation whit that race when those will be killed?

you got to wait until they turn red. The pirates use a disguise to get close, while they appear neutral they are considered friendly traffic.

Usually there is one that is red, attack him first to get the others to change colour, then go for it.

Dan,

There is only one mission that causes a reputation hit...the one where you are given an HQ as a reward. (...and there is a "work around for that one to reduce the reputation hit to almost nothing).

No other DDRS mission will cause a reputation hit.

There was also a bug in an earlier version of the optional DD Bounty Hunter scripts that caused reputation hits, but that has been fixed for quite awhile now.

Please describe the circumstances a bit more clearly, and I'll try and help you figure out what is happening.

I think I know what Dan is talking about in one instance of my game I got A static like message from Aladia hill. That said pirates where attacking and stated the m1 through the m6 no m7 spot though. And when I jumped in to help all the ships that where pirates where red and also each ship was a part of the race they came from. Trust me I was an enemy of the whole galaxy when I was done also quite shocked but I thought mine was script related still don't know which one because I use a lot of pirate scripts. But this may help out a little.


p.s.
I like this little bug in the game Just need Letters of Marque for the pirate hunting and set it that no rep hit at all and also that you get one point per pirate ship and when you have enough one race gives you a ship from m1
to m7 totally free and no weapons and the barest of shields. but that is just me :lol:

Ah...thanks for the clarification :)

That is not a DDRS mission, but rather something that is generated by the optional Race Attacks script that StarTrek Marc let me alter and include in the DDRS mod package.

If you are running the current version of the script, then you will not get any hits to your race reputation...unless one of the other pirate-centric scripts you are running changes things.

I have found that jumping in to help out on the "requests for help" generated by the STM/RA script is a good way to cap DDRS ships early in the game.

So I was in Priest Pity and finish a mercenary mission to protect the paranid from pirates (Cycrow script ) and my reputation with paranid raise to "friend of priest Duke"...and after that I go south to Emperors Ridge...when I entered in that sector a message pop up and said that Paranid made a bounty on me and soon appear 8-10 moded fighters - colored in red and named Paranid star fury raider - paranid TIE interceptor and paranid B - wing ...I go back in Priest Pity...but they follow me...and here I start the fight...these ships was to fast like my nova vanguard and they catch me...after I kill 2 of them - my reputation drop 1 level and so one...after I kill all these ships my reputation drop 4 level ...I don't know which is the name but I think is after "Nomad"...that's it... :x

I receive another bounty in Black hole sun but there was the yaki who put bounty on me...and my reputation with argon increase after I kill all ships...again Yaki star fury raider, yaki Tie interceptor,yaki B - wing and and yaki M6 - I don't remember the model... :)

So ...what about reputation?...and about version ...I install the "spk"...which was in latest version here...2.4.1.... :?

Dan,
what was your Paranid rep before you upped to 'friend of priest duke'?
If you had a negative rank before upping it, DDBH could've triggered a mission then. If my understanding is correct (Deadly?), once a mission is triggered, spawning of the hunt ships will occur within 30-180 minutes. Thus, the hunt could've been triggered before you upped yr Par. rep, but the hunters, didn't find you till after..

If this scenario was what happened, then it might be necessary for us to modify the race rep level at which DDBH spawns hunts.

Another "issue" with DDBH as I see it, is that once you get a hostile race rep, and hunters hunt you, and you kill them--your rep can only drop further..No way of repairing it fast enough (i.e., even if race ships regularly buy from yr stations..), even with the new v2.0 "buy better rep" BBS offer. The only realistic way is to use the BBS offer (Cycrow's??), where you buy a rep hack that radically levels up your rep...

So my reputation with paranid was 1 level under "friend of priest"...and after I kill all ships the reputation goes down till "Txxx...???"....and that was under "unholy nomad"...I write wrong in my last post...because after that with RS script "race hunt" the paranid start to hunt me again...now is "unholy nomad" after I kill the paranid ships send to kill me out paranid border...

But it's happening again...I started Bala Gi mission...I was in Kingdoms End I take the mission and I fly to Rolk's fate...and when I entered "Queen's Space" again a message pop up and the boron hunt me...spawn 10 ships...dratki Mk2, banshee and hunter...the reputation with boron was "noble peer"...I jump and avoid the fight and resolve the problem in Rolk's fate and when I come back to KE another message ...the boron hunting me...another 10 ships the same dratki,banshee and hunter...so I park to shipyard I take the blueprints and jump out of sector...but they follow me...and find me in Ianamus Zura...where all the ships - 20 :evil: - was red and named "Boron Dratki,banshee and hunter"...I start the fight and my reputation with boron drop very quickly...so reload jump out in Omicron Lyrae and hope if the ships follow me the xenon in 347 resolve that bastards.... :twisted:

Why it's not possible to write the script and when the hunting ships are out of race space to became pirates and in that way is more easy to kill them because the reputation with that race increase...see RS script - race hunt... :?

I find such a BBS message when my rep. with paranid was under the unholy nomad ...I spend some credit thinking that I increase my rep but they take the credits but nothing happened in rep.... :evil: ...I try to deliver the blueprint in paranid prime but I can't dock...so I try to increase rep...I find that BBS ...but nothing happened and then paranid start hunting me and I run to Cloudbase SouthWest where paranid ships became pirates and I kill them and raise the rep to 'Unholy nomad"

Dan,

I'm looking into it. I am generally on goood terms with most of the races...and therefore don't get bounty hunters sent after me. The solution is to probably not have any kills on bounty hunters count as a rece-rep hit.

another good idea might be to change the rep level at which DDBH hunts spawn, move it down to the first hostile rep level--the one at which police will turn red on yr entry into a system.

Dan,
one temporary solution to your troubles could be to use LV's cheats script, and tweak your Paranid and Boron reps up to where they "should" have been. Until we get this sorted out.
