Hey all... I recently found x-gold used and have been playing both X-BTF and X-tension. I cannot get the throttle on my Logitech Wingman 3D joystick to work in X-BTF. It does however work in X-tension.
I am using the latest patched version of X-BTF. I wonder if there is a workaround or if it just will not work.
Also, I have a small graphical glitch I wanted to ask about. The textures that make up nebula's do not seem to line up properly. I see seams in them here and there. Is there any way to fix this?

I've had the same problem in BTF with my ms force feedback2, and I don't think there's a fix for it. They're not releasing anymore patches for either BTF or XT.
As for the backgrounds, I've never noticed it myself, but I haven't played BTF for a long time. Have you tried higher res? I don't think it'd fix it though.

NO joystick throttle control will work in X-BTF if you're running Windows 2000 or XP (not sure about ME, but it may also be affected)--this problem wasn't fixed until release 2.0 of X-Tension, and I don't think Egosoft have any plans to include the fix in X-BTF.jvieira wrote:Hey all... thanks guys. I guess the XP is the problem with the throttle then. Not the end of the world though because I'll prob give up on BTF soon and just play x-tension. I've made good progress in BTF and like the new features in x-tension more.
On the nebula problem though, I am running 32bit color. 1024x768x32 and I've tried both kinds of 32 bit textures, with the A:0 and A:8 at the end (not sure what the difference is). This is an older card, a Geforce DDR 64mb running 30.82 detonator drivers. I only see these seams in some of the nebulas, and it's not a huge problem, I just hoped I could fix it.
