I declare my part of writing this FAQ finished.

Though BPH remains fully in development - new levels are created, new possibilities added - I will not maintain this FAQ.

Please, feel free to copy and paste and alter whatever you want to alter or add.
I thank everybody who was willing to coöperate.
I especially thank ticaki. It has been a genuine pleasure working with you.

Spark out.

Q. Why isn't this or some other useful guide included with the script download?
A. So you suffer.
Q. Why can't I find a script that has a "trade only with owned stations' option?

Q. I have set up 11 Ore mines in Ore Belt. 6 have Sell Price is 170, the other 5 transfer (via SDS) to the selling mines. E-Cells buy at 11. I transferred 6 level 7 and 8 BPH pilots (from Crystal Fabs) to new ships, and have assigned 1 each to the Ore Mines, jumps set to 16.

Why do these pilot NOT use the jump drives when delivering to stations greater than 1 sector out (example: from Ore Belt to Emperors Ridge)? When checked, the ships show level 8 pilots. These ships are using the signed BPH script.

If you want me to add this to the FAQ then please provide the answer :)
IOW: wrong thread
Answer: read the FAQ

Polite answer: BPH only jumps when there is an emergency and because there apparently isn't one he didn't jump. Your fact didn't have enough stock for the BPH to consider it an emergency.

Does anyone know what BPH stands for?

E.g. Better Product Handling, Buying Product Helper, Best Purchase Hire, ...? Perhaps it's something in German?

I am having a problem with the Adv trade software(renamed BPH kit). I have two dolphins running it assigned to a crystal fab. At one point, the fab ran out of money, so the pilots went on strike. I have since put plenty of credits back in the stations account, but the pilots still complain that I owe them money if I try to restart the Adv Trade command. What can I do to fix this?

Just leave them alone.
Don't try restarting the script.
There's a wait time built in to let you know of the pilots displeasure at the fact that you ran out of money and couldn't pay them.
They are truly 'on strike' for a couple of minutes or so, and anything you try to do to speed up the process will only make it worse.
They'll start again on their own eventually.
Cheers.

i had this problem, but they just sat there for days, i even left it running for hours on SETA and still wouldn't start trading again when ever i reissued the command they were still asking for money
