Mark, I am one of those who have downloaded the mod but I have not tried it yet. I am waiting to complete the plot, afterwhich I am dying to see what it is like with your awesome-looking tweaks.

I am only writing this so that you know there may be others like me who wanted to download the mod to be sure we had a copy, but have been too busy finishing the game to actually try it. It looks to be a great add-on, and I wanted to encourage you to keep up the great work!

As soon as I have finished slapping the Khaak around and have bred a few future pilots with the Kho chick (who I have a bad feeling may end up being my sister in a future expansion pack), I will give your mod the try it so well deserves.


(and, yes, I am anxiously awaiting v.16 as my first real test...)

UPDATE -> 0.16 will be available over the weekend, I'll post as soon as its up.

It gonna include 'revenge squads' which have been heavily inspired by the bounty hunter plugin.

If you get on the wrong side of a race now (except pirates cos they aren't organised enough), from now on don't expect them to sit around and do nothing, they'll send ships out after you.. :o

Just like the bounty hunter plugin, what you'll face will depend on the strength and number of your ships that are in the sector your in.

Attacks will come every 6 - 10 hours but will only be triggered if you manage to get your race relations so bad that all a races ships display red.

Mark,

Just a quick note on the 0.16 Beta you just posted on your site.

The TWareT.txt file has a small error on line 28. A newline should start immediately after "SS_WARE_L_A;"...instead you have the 1st field of subsequent line.

The revenge squads seem to work OK...but I'm just now getting into it.

Hmmm...having some severe lag/slow-down issues.

Given that I've integrated lot's of other stuff into my private mod...I'll check my integration 1st.

The only really big diff seems to be "revenge"...so I'll check that before anything else.

Hi:

I have not installed it yet because I am not sure how it will affect other mods and add-ons.

I use the MWM1.8, and many of the XAI mods and scripts like the auto miner, etc. I use others as well like hire1.2, bounty hunter, sector security and the tuning kit.

What affect will this BIG mod have on any of those? Will it play nice? If so, I will install it right away and start giving more feedback....

I'm running my own mini-mod based on 0.16, and MWM 1.8 (with a smaller custome universe)...as well as most of the Xai stuff, etc, etc.

The Big Mod will not work unless you are pretty savy with scripting and editing the text files...basically it will take a fair bit of effort to get all the scripts and commands working.

Having said that, it is definitely worth the effort.

would be nice and a great idea if someone took this mod and intergrated it with the other great mods out there... then it truly would live up to its name... in fact, you could probly rename it and call it "The Huge Mod".

Id download it in a heartbeat.
Just dont have the skills to do it.

The problem is in defining just which of the many scripts/mods out there are "great". We all have our preferences. That is why I run my own "private" mod and universe map...so I can pick and chose what gets included, and what gets left out.

Not much help, I know, but there is really no other way to avoid the conflicts caused by integrating multiple scripts and mods.

Hey everyone :D

Compatability = if the mod you wish to use with 'the big mod' uses a .dat/.cat file, the chances are it aitn't gonna work.

However, that said, if you want to use it with scripts like the XAI advanced AI, the need for speed mod, or perhaps something like the XAI Auto mining commands it should work absolutely fine :wink:

Elvisman2001 -> Just liek DeadlyDa said, everyone has a different opinion about what should be in there. As it is I've just tried to make everything balanced and fit with the game. Don't want to give the "all mods/scripts are cheats" brigade anything to start moaning about :wink:

Hate that game. Looks great and is fun, but boy oh boy did they make it a blatant money sucker... no experience points, you obtain your skills by actual TIME... so to be able to pilot a star cruiser type ship actually takes 3 months (or whatever) to get that skill. No thanks but to each his own.

Man, I can't wait to try it!!!

When and where should we look for the first release of 1.0? I saw a Beta Version somewhere, but I can't remember where.

Man, you're working harder than half the "professional" developers I work with! Just goes to show how much it helps to love what you're doing.

i would like to test it :)

If i can make one request! Make it where if you go into an unknown sector and be the first to place a factory you can claim the sector and name it after what you wish! and what "race" has main influence there... or strictly for your corp :wink: also somehow use TTS or something to say the system ? 8)

i might of installed it wrong but after i run the script the equipment docks
have all wepons for sale in argon prime is sells every wepon and soft ware even alpha ppc it just gives it a unfair advanage and the is two scrap yards in agon prime and kindome end (havent checked other sectors)

look great otherwise

He hasnt gotten tied up with Eve Online (YUCK) and decided not to work on this any more.... being trying to see if I see any new updates but none so far...

I don't underastand. I have installed the mod and besides the beam weapons, the scrapyards and about 5 new wares, I don't see anything else new and especially I don't see the "Advanced Shuttle" in Argon Prime or anywhere for that matter. :o :o
