Both good money makers. I have them in the old Paranid scetors and the new Argon ones. I think you could also do well in the new Split sectors too. Always check the surrounding areas for NPC ones and for demand. I always have mine on max price and although sometimes they are a little slow to sell, in time they sell all they make.

Re: Factories
Lasertower factory in Argon Prime, and a Sat Fact in Seizewell, both have never managed to build up a full stock, the things just fly out of the loading bay......Captain Kremen wrote:Has anybody ever owned a laser tower or satellite factory - do they make money are there any good sectors for positioning them in? what selling price do people have them for?????

And even if they don't sell it's cheaper than buying them for yourself on the open market.Captain Kremen wrote:Has anybody ever owned a laser tower or satellite factory - do they make money are there any good sectors for positioning them in? what selling price do people have them for?????

As far as i rememebr all you need is food, energy cells and ore. loads of ore in argion sectors, herrons nebula has a few mines and so does ore belt. energy cells in the adjacent sector the wall. and you may need to build a cahoona bakery. there should be enough argnu beef around for minimum price to stock the bakery.
also ut a lser tower fact in seizewell. it sells well too.

Hi. Yes a LT factory in Argon Prime for sure and a Nav Sat factory in Paranid Prime. Both set to max, in the money quick! I think, that the Argons do sell the laser tower factory, check in the equipment dock in Light Of Heart. Or, in Omicron Leray, someone with correct spellings please correct if necessary please!!!!
Otherwise, the Nids sell them. Then you will need to purchase a soi farm and soiry as supporting food factories, you will need Ore but don't bother with SPP's.

I've had 8 lt factoies circling argon p with a couple of meat cah support factoies buying beef at 83cr
they all sold at max price
you can also dump 2 quantum tube fabs in ap selling at full whack
but i'd advise you not to put too many factories in systems where shipyards are or you ships will start crashing when u enter the sector
its best to circle the factories around ap and if your going to drop any cahoona factories put them in cloudbase sw

Re: Factories
I own a lasertower factory, but do not sell to other races. I took over one of the enemy sectors and have fortified the jumpgates with lasertowers. Because a large influx of pirates and xenon occassionally destroy a couple of them in a single attack, I have the factory there to replenish my defenses. Works pretty well.Captain Kremen wrote:Has anybody ever owned a laser tower or satellite factory - do they make money are there any good sectors for positioning them in? what selling price do people have them for?????

NatSat factory in Argon Prime: NOT!
Why? Because ALL Nav Sat factories require Majaglit, which is only available in Paranid sectors. I found out that the best place for NavSat is the sector North of Trinity Sanctum. (Forget name). In the sector you would have everything you need: Majaglit, and Silicon mines. I found out that the NavSat gives me the best ROI over all other types.
[EDIT] ROI = Return On Investment.

That's what I used to do until I had to restart and got the sectors arse about face. They still sell though, so it can't be bad. Best to build your own supply line for the majaglit as well, it helps keep some extra profits in your own factory chains....nobbystyles wrote:I always thought it was a sat fact in Argon Prime and lasertower in seizewell.

lonoski, Glad you agree with me. Pontifex Realm is the sector North of Trinity Sanctum right?
The logic is that demand mostly come from the old Argon sectors, and they got their Sats from the sector East of Trinity Sanctum (Preacher Refuge). I did study the TS pattern before placing my Sat Fact there. By placing your sat fact in Pontifex Realm, you present a shorter path than the NPC factory in Preacher Refuge, yet you have all your resources at a very cheap price, therefore the max return on investement.
