Was wondering how many copies people are buying ? when i had X gold after about six months the disc was damaged by heat so i had to buy another copy which found it's way to the US after i thought i had no further use for it.
Two copies are for me and two are going to Canada

it's a bit ott to buy two copies but if it helps in a small way to make XOL a reality then it's small change i spose

I plan to buy 2 copies for myself - will hopefully be able to preorder one online and then will buy another from Game in town on the release day.

I am then buying a further 2 copies - have a friend in Hong Kong and another in New York and I'm 'forcing' them to try out X2. Better than the normal stuff I have to send them - the next one is Championship Manager 4 due out on March 28.... Never mind - there's hope that I can convert them.

I have 2 of X-BTF and 2 of X-Tension

and 2 CD's that i made up of saved games and most of cj site and patches and EXE-editors

I don't think i will be able to run X2, but i will buy 2 copys and download anything on the net to do with it. until i can get a new pc in about a year or two.

Why not just upgrade your comp if you live in t UK there's computer fairs in most cities

Well, if you look at the UK stockmarket, it has halved in value since late 1999 and given few people any enjoyment. X-BTF and XT however, judging by the prices on eBay, have roughly doubled in value and given hundreds of hours of entertainment.

Plus, if one copy of X2 goes pear shaped, I'll have another as back up (just incase there's no more available to buy).

Plus I just want to say that I have 2 copies.

Plus it will help fund X3 and X-OL.

One copy. There's no point buying another. Normally, everyone is legally allowed to make one backup copy for personal use. Will X2 again have copy protection in the form of original cd required to be inserted ? Not that a copy protection like that would do any good, as a hack patch will probably be available from day 1. I'm not gonna hack anything, meaning that honest people who make a backup copy to protect their original cd again have to bite the dust

. Actually, such a legal backup would be utterly useless.
I'm ranting too much about something that's not the issue.
