Crystal Fab quick question..

I have a question about crystal fabs in Xtension... If I build one in a system with 6 suns, will it produce more (or faster) crystal than the one I have in a 1 star system? Does the number of stars have any effect on production time/quantity? Thanks.

Hi,

No. The more suns you have the faster that energy cells are produced at a Solar Power Plant. It doesn't affect Crystals.

Suns only influence on how fast solar powerplants build e-cells. Still need as much crystals for it though(like recource yield on asteroids). All other fabs besides spp and mines have a fixed cycletime.

oh this reminds me, will the crystal to cell ratio be sorted better in x2?
if i rember right needed to sell at 16 to recover cost of crystal.

Thing is, they had to do that because energy cells are such a universally required commodity that any idiot could make money by building a solar power plant, and in fact that was the best way to get started in X-BTF--you could make enough money from a single SPP to buy another factory in a couple of hours. I think they should balance it so that an SPP selling at, say, 12 Cr per unit would make about the same as a normal food factory --that would even things out enough to ensure that SPPs weren't springing up all over the known universe!
