How to check agent made changes on shipyards ?

Post by Dudu24 »

As this is my first post in here I would like to say "Hello" to everyone on this forum.

I've tried the diplomacy Open Beta update and I have to say I'm content with it. Never understood why some expected this update to transform the game into something more strategy like as the update does what it should considering what I think the game tried to ambitiously achieve in the first place. What I mean is the fact that diplomacy in its current state doesn't changes the game into something else, like something more strategy orientated, and I like that. I'm only a bit disappointed about the fact that some of the missions done by agents I would had liked to do myself and not just send some NPCs.

Now as the title of the topic says I really have no clue how can I check what changes were done to let's say the Argon Shipyard, in terms of changes done through agents activity. For example I've sent 2 agents to build influence in the argon shipyard and another one to build some sort of a network, a spy network if I'm not mistaking in the same station. My goal is to steal some module blueprints from Argon but I can't tell for sure if I've done everything that was needed prior to that, so the mission will be a success.

Hello and welcome.

If I understand your question correctly, then the station that you target whilst doing a "Steal module blueprints" agent action (In your case, the Argon Shipyard) will not have any effects done to it. All you need to do to be able to trigger the "Steal module blueprints" agent action is have enough influence banked up from doing "Cultivate Influence" or preferably "Build Intelligence Network" agent actions. Influence is like a currency, it can be gained and spent depending on what actions you do.

Success rate for agent actions is determined by the difficulty of the action you're taking, your agent's rank and if you've used any bribe items or not. Previous actions taken on a particular station have no bearing on the success rate for future actions on the same station. So doing doing "Build Intelligence Network" action on your Argon Shipyard will not improve or reduce your success chance for "Steal module blueprints" action etc.

Thanks for the clarification.

I've installed the 8.0 open beta recently and at a first glance things where a bit confusing.

I thought the actions done on a certain station actually have an impact aimed towards that specific station, so for more complicated actions like getting module blueprints you need to do first something more basic like building influence and so on. I was mislead by the fact you always have to select a target station thus all this "crazy" idea.

Thanks again for explaining all this to me.
