Good evening,
I've run into an issue where I'm unable to walk or move the view / pan the camera, and I am stuck in my ship's teleporter room. The mouse cursor is visible at this time, and can be moved normally, but does not disappear when opening and closing the pause menu, the map, or restarting the game.
At some point, I had teleported to the Trinity (Hyperion) and nearly every surface was black, and some dialogue occurred between Boso Ta and some other character referencing a unique ship that wasn't exactly a mining ship, something about peculiar size, I think. I'm guessing that may be related to the quest for the Hyperion, which I skipped, as I began the game with it. After rebooting the game, I was in the ship again with textures working correctly, but still unable to move.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

There have been a few similar reports (usually on Linux as it happens) where upon teleporting in and on arrival somewhere, the player sinks a bit into the floor between screen frames if fps is temporarily low. With their feet embedded in fixed structure, they can't move at all. That situation (ie the mispositioning of the player character) *might* survive a save/reload. If that is the case here, you might have to try teleporting away and back to reset the character positioning. Good luck.

Thank you. I logged on today and tried teleporting to multiple locations, including a nearby fighter and as well as a separate sector, and back to the Trinity. I am unable to move in any of these locations. I'm not sure if its relevant, but I can play Timelines without issue.Alan Phipps wrote: ↑Wed, 16. Thanks, I suppose it is possible that something is taking control away from or blocking your usual means of movement control. If you have multiple input methods such as mouse/keyboard, joystick, controller, pedals, etc then unplug anything that you don't use and see if it makes any difference in-game. Also please don't run any 3rd party game profilers/managers whilst playing, should that apply.
If that doesn't help then it really does sound as though your game installation or its settings/set-up are corrupt or confused. Verifying your game installation may throw some further light. Also at this point, could you link as much information as you can about your system and device drivers please. I know that you can't do a DxDiag in Linux but anything you can do might help.

Thank you again for your attention to my issue. I have two mice connected; I will remove the other mouse and test once I'm able to boot up the game after work today. No 3rd party profilers are running. I have verified my install files successfully.Alan Phipps wrote: ↑Thu, 17. "GeForce RTX 3070 driver: nvidia v: 570.169"
I have an RTX 3070 too and I don't know anything about Linux graphics drivers, but in Windows we are on Nvidia driver version 576.88 dated 01 Jul 25 and its included latest version of Vulkan.

Nvidia is usually late to update drivers for Linux. Maybe I should go over to their website and start shaking my fist at them.Alan Phipps wrote: ↑Thu, 17. Jul 25, 23:38 "GeForce RTX 3070 driver: nvidia v: 570.169"

I sometimes fall through geometry after a teleport. When that happens, I usually use the quick displacement shortcut (shift-D) to teleport back to the ship's "dock".
That being said, this tool would grant a greater amount of information would be (as per https://linux-hardware.org/?view=howto):
It also helps figure out if any issue is present on the hardware level.
In any case, I would do as Alan suggest and launch the game with a less "extreme" profile. For example by unplugging peripherals that are not needed and switching back to a 1080p screen resolution. Standard troubleshooting stuff, reduce complexity.
It has to be noted that your kernel is rather old. Version 6.8 was released March of last year. Your pipewire is also badly outdated, and I don't understand why you have 3 sound server. One is usually sufficient. I doubt it's an issue from the nvidia drivers.
