Playing vanilla from steam.
I am 5 days in game and the xenon are rolling through omricon Lyrae killing stations and the TL transport. No argon military respond.
I had just setup my first factory of ore and have a few minor trade ships. Why does the argon not protect a core system? The TL ship just sat there, I tried to hire it and command it to follow me to another system but it didn’t just sat and died.

The whole East of the map is not a good place to build stations in the beginning. I always start with stations in Argon Prime, Home of Light and Ore Belt. There you have two Argon and one Boron shipyards with an TL each.XcometeX wrote: ↑Sat, 5. Jul 25, 20:00 Playing vanilla from steam.

Re: X3tc help
There are two 90 value Ore asteroids in Antigone Memorial.
Put an L size mine on both ( never use M mines, it's a waste of an asteroid )
When you have a ship that can use a tractor beam ( paranid space to get one ) tow one mine near to the other and complex them together.
That will be all the ore you need for quite a while.
If you have the Bonus Pack installed ( I assume you do because it's part of Vanilla now ) then I suggest training up CAG and CLS for your stations as they are better than standard traders.
When you start needing ore for your own production I suggest not piping your own Ore directly to your fabs but keep selling your Ore for the best price and buy back from the npc stations for the cheapest price. This means you still make a profit on your ore while simultaneously shoring up the game economy and helping make sure stations are not evaporated by the god-algorithm for being unproductive - it also earns you tons of reputation.
