[SOLVED] Headtracking with Smoothtrack bypasses Opentrack

Post by belgarion234 »

For headtracking, I currently use Smoothtrack (ios headtracking) for most games. I have it send the inputs from the app to Open Track over UDP port 4242 and this works great for most games and I have an open track profile that I'm very comfortable with. My issue is that when trying to do this with X4 instead of X4 reading the output from Opentrack, it reads directly from smooth track, which is neat but very frustrating as I would rather it use Opentrack's output. Any way to work around this?

Edit: It might be my main issue is getting it to pick up open track at all. Turned off smooth track, set up opentrack input to joystick to see if it would pick up, and I got it to connect to x4 once but can't again. Just says "waiting for Open Track Connection". I've tried setting output to just free track, just trackIR, and then Both but no luck.

Edit 2: ok got a work around. Still not sure why I can't get Opentrack to pickup in x4 using freetrack as output, but I have it to send output over UDP to my computer over port 4242 and have smoothtrack as input on 4343. Connect with opentrack first then launch smooth track.
