Well to be fair - skipping declaration of a war was not something that started with Trump. What is fascinating to see is that Israel attacked and Trump feels compelled to join a war because....reasons?
From what I got so far there seem to be affected americans. Not those Trump is deporting from his own country mind you - must be some "proper americans" like e.g. fellow republican citizens. I doubt he would send the military to protect democrats. Vance affirmed recently (@parade) that the US would only send his soldiers at war if it is absolutely necessary. I think the US/Iran situation looks bad and likely to get worse from all sides with Iranian insider 'experts' saying on world news that their national and military leaders are currently discussing how the large US military bases in Israel are shorter flight and hence softer targets for the survival and impact of their ballistic missiles, rather than waste losses of many of them engaging longer range and well-defended Israeli military targets.

Yeah, I see this getting worse, US will likely go all in, if that happens, it will certainly pull us in another major middle east war. But it could go beyond that.

Trump is eager for his pound of flesh.

Mmh.. maybe a new little Vietnam / Irak / "russian 2second best army in Ukraine moment" for the US might be healthy for the healing process of this country which currently is drifting away. Might do the trick for the citizens of the US to finally stand up.

I can't help but think that the world is eager to feel a lot of pain again in order to know what's right and wrong. A sad affair to be sure - especially for all those innocent people suffering - or worse - dying [again] for that relevation.

I have weird feeling that even 1st term Trump would be like "WTF is going on, who is this guy?" when looking at 2nd term Trump.

I recall a TV news interview of two first-time voters before election last Fall. A reason for them to support Trump was "he will not take us into war (unlike Harris)".

I don't know if you have heard, but the Trumps are for making and releasing a mobile phone, I saw a picture, I don't know if it was the actual phone or just a mockup of the phone, it's a gold colour phone, and it is the ugliest phone out there, gaudy as hell. Anyway, Eric Trump was doing an interview, and he was talking about the phone (sorry I can't link it) he was asked about the manufacturing the phone in the US of A, and he said something along the lines of "we hope to be able to manufacture it completely sometime in the future in America" in other words he was saying, nope we are making it outside of America and importing it in. Now here's the thing that I'm thinking, and I'm sure it is just a massive coincidence, but the most honest Trump just so happened to give the importation of mobile phones into America a pass on tariffs, that was before slapping a massive tariff on Apple phones as a punishment for not making the phones in America.

No conflict of interest to see here, just carry on by with your republican blinkers on.

U.S. Deploys B-2 Bombers

“Multiple U.S. Air Force B-2 bombers appeared to be airborne and heading west from the United States across the Pacific, and President Trump is scheduled to return to the White House late on Saturday afternoon from New Jersey as he deliberates about whether to join Israel’s efforts to destroy Iran’s nuclear sites,” the New York Times reports.

“Air traffic control communications indicated that several B-2 aircraft — the planes that could be equipped to carry the 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs that Mr. Trump is considering deploying against Iran’s underground nuclear facilities in Fordo — had taken off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.”

Wall Street Journal: “Officials said there had been no order given to ready a B-2 strike. The flights could also help pressure Iran amid efforts to resolve the standoff diplomatically.”
Well, I think there is a good chance that Trump will attack Iran now. sure, he said that he will have a decision in 2 weeks, but this is clearly BS. So Trump could very well pull us all into another middle eastern conflict. Trump is probably loving this, as he clearly wants to push some red buttons.

Well that escalated quickly...
US President Donald Trump says American warplanes have bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing war between Iran and Israel.
Could be days, weeks, months… years for Iran to retaliate. But whether against military or civilian targets?

Trump said on Truth social, that any retaliation by Iran after the American strikes will be met with force „far greater than what was seen tonight“. So I guess this means that America is very willing to escalate this war further? Because, I doubt Iran will just sit around and not retaliate at all.

More interesting to see what Russia and China do. There's also non government entities that are wild cards and at least a few have popped into the news over the last few months.

Problem is, there was no declaration of war, no advance warning, and with many Americans stuck in middle eastern countries. No thoughts about them. And I doubt there is any game plan. no end game. As Trump fired all the best people. What he has are total idiots who just seem to be following orders.

I think this is going to get real messy. But I feared this might happen. Even though there are some posters that denied that things could get this far. Trump is going to drag us into a full scale conflict, if he doesn't back down, but I doubt he will. He wants his pound of flesh, and will likely go all in. And the UK will likely join the US. messy, very, very messy.

Remember a few weeks ago, a few news organizations were making the nonsense comparison of the Ukrainian drone attack on Russian bombers to "Pearl Harbor"? That analogy failed because Ukraine had already been at war 3 years, against a country that had launched an unprovoked invasion against it.

This attack by the US against Iran? That is a Pearl Harbor moment. Whether you love Iran or hate it, we were not at war against Iran. We made no declaration of war. We attacked them out of the blue.

Yes Trump signaled he might do it, but it is still wholly dishonorable to be the one to initiate armed conflict.

This attack may temporarily set Iran back in its attempts to get a nuclear weapon. But it may backfire in the long run, and convince Iran not to hold back in trying to develop a nuclear weapon. And what if Russia decides to assist Iran in getting nuclear weapons now? Trump would be too chicken to do anything to stop it.

Trump is claiming success and saying a lot of shit. But using the bunker buster bombs might not have done as much damage. Its hard to say. As the sites are deep underground. So if they fail to do a lot of damage. then what's next? troops on the ground? I don't think Trump had thought this through.

So we could very well see an even greater escalation of this conflict, and many Americans seem opposed to war. But this is Trump's ego, he wanted to do this for a while. That and his demented brain, he just made a huge mistake. And others will pay the price for it.

Edit

The thing is, some intel agencies were saying, Iran wasn't building a nuclear bomb, So I don't think this is about Nukes, it might be about regime change, but look what happened to Iraq and the mess with that. I think this is still about Trump and his image, he wanted to look tough on the world stage. But this strike is a very bad for that. Trump is a weak minded, feeble fascist, who has no clue. He barely understands briefings, he doesn't like people who are smarter then he is.

So, all in all. Trump might have got intelligence briefings, but there aren't any adults in the room, all the best people are gone. what is left are idiots and dimwits who are doing Trump's bidding. I don't see an de escalation in this. This will get worse, and very very quickly.
