Annoying looping background noise when map open

Hello,

I've picked up the game relatively recently, and I'm now noticing a very annoying issue: basically, whenever the Map screen is open (which is quite often), there is this annoying looping background noise, that I suppose is meant to simulate like a hologram or virtual overlay or something. The problem is it's an incredibly repetitive sound loop with no variation, and it's right at that high-pitched frequency that just gives me a horrible headache when listening to it for any length of time. At first I thought it was one of my PC fans slowly dying and spent days trying to figure out the source of the noise, but turns out it was from the game...

Is there some sort of setting or mod I could use to disable this torture noise? I've discovered I can turn down the volume of UI sounds to get rid of it, but of course that disables all other UI sounds too, which I would prefer to avoid.

If this does ever become a proper technical issue report then you would need to include the information as Euclid advised.
