About yaki base and xenon

Post by RyanHeart »

So, in my recent playthrough i just saw yaki base health down to 68% and i just reshed to savage spur 1 (because low attention and high attention mode station combat diferences just straight up stupid) when i arrived station downed to 60 and being attacked by a k after a minute station killed k from %100 to %0 on it's own, first this is just nonsense, how insane the difference for stations oos or is but other than that, yaki wharf module has been destroyed thus can't dock, iirc it can't be rebuild without a builder because it's a seperate module, destroyed modules can't be repaired by repair drones ?, it's hull going up quickly but no repairs on those modules so is my 40 hour playthrough ended ?

I can't use kill button for terrans options and no blueprint purchases or supplying yakis whatsoever ?

Or do i have to smuggle a giant builder ship with an armada of it's own to savage spur 1 ?

In this case it's not a difference of OOS vs IS, but a separate bug where Xenon attack Yaki (they shouldn't) and Yaki do not return fire unless you are there. It seems like as soon as one of the Xenon targets you the Yaki base opens fire.

I usually have a ship docked at the Yaki base for this reason. As soon as I notice the station being attacked I teleport to it and undock, fly out until I get the targetting warning and immediately dock again. This will fix the issue until it randomly happens again.

I suppose you can dock the Yaki HQ with spacesuit yet. Another option (if you didn't complete the Yaki plot) is to let Xenon finish off HQ and Yaki will respawn another one with dock. Without fabrication bay though.

Wasn't it the case that the Yakis use the Xenon construction system, and thus “very slowly” raise their modules via the construction storage without drone support?

So far as I am aware, if you have not yet destroyed the Amplifier, it doesn't matter if the Yaki base is destroyed as it will be restored indefinitely.

If you have already destroyed the Amplifier then the destruction of the base will be the end of the Yaki. In that scenario you might want to help them rebuild the station if you want to keep them alive.

Suffice to say I have left them in the first situation for now so I don't have to worry about the glitch. If you are in scenario 2 then just grab their two ship BPs and let them die out.

I did smuggle an armada to SS1 before the Yaki plot. Then again, I did not have to.

The game has 14 save slots: one quicksave, three auto, and ten explicit. I do rotate all ten, and also archive them before overwriting. That way I can save often and still revert back to many timepoints.
