Hi,
[updated post to forum standard]
-Version 7.5
-Mods installed. None of them altering Crew behaviours or sounds.
-Gamestart was the Hyperion start.
-No savegame. The issue happend without any kind of gameplay. Less than one minute into starting a new game.
-I dont think my system specs are relevant to this as its not a software glitch in that sense but an ingame behaviour of NPC.
I can do the DXdiag report if you think it helps but since it happens without a savegame and my game is modded i have the suspicion this might get dismissed anyway.
On the Hyperion, there is a constant walking sound behind my right ear while sitting in the Pilot seat. It is near the teleporter door when i get up and try to locate it. It only temporarily stops when i get out of the pilot seat. When i sit down again, it continues after a few seconds.
It is constant, not just them walking to their seat sometimes. Like a stuck NPC walking against a wall. But i dont see one, probably inside a wall somewhere.
I would mute the walking sound if i could or disable the crew on the bridge. Don't think i can(?).
Please add an option for either muting footsteps or disabling the crew on bridge. Or fix the Hyperion bridge.
Is there something i can already do myself to fix that?

See the very first thread at the top of the forum and provide the information requested there, including a link to a savegame demonstrating what you're describing.

Sorry, updated the missing info and removed some whining from my original post.
The best fix for this/me would be a checkbox in sound options to mute footsteps, really.

[Update]
The issue seems gone since i swapped the original Paranid crew for Split crew. I assume the Hyperions ceiling is too low for tall Paranid somewhere near the teleporter and they get stuck often.

I had an issue in 7.5 with foodsteps all the time, in my case a paranid was stuck behind the crafting-workbench (where you vcan see a door) inside the hyperion cockpit, luckily after some time the stuck guy just disappeared. Maybe it was the same cause.

Ye, that makes sense. I just had the issue again with only a pilot on board. There is an invisible "npc" walking between teleporter and crafting station and they get stuck and keep making a walking sound. It continued for around 20 seconds after i got up from the pilot seat and the NPC pilot took over(only NPC on board). But again, the pilot was a paranid. Gonna swap him for a different smaller species now and see if it continues. Maybe a smaller invisible ghost that doesnt get stuck will spawn.
Edit 5 mins later: Nope, just had the ghost address me as "Sir!". While i was standing behind the pilot NPC. 1/107 crew on board, only the pilot. Still Walking noises. Human voice. Possibly because the marines i sent off around 5-10 minutes ago were humans. But they are all on a different ship now.
