Information Tab Not Appearing - Improved using UI scale setting.

7.5 Unmodded Wayward Scion

Hi there I'm a new player, enjoying so far but over the last few days I've noticed a bit of a problem. The information panel located in the map will at times not appear when I click on it, or if I right click on a ship and select "information." It doesn't seem to matter whether I'm using the right or left "i" button. Also, when the info panel does appear, it will at times not respond when I ask it to go to tabs such as "behaviour."

When I save and reload, thus problem rights itself, but it doesnt take too long for the same problem to appear and persist until I again reload.

From the DxDiag, both your Intel onboard and Nvidia card graphics drivers are about 2 years outdated (and hence their Vulkan version). Unintuitively both devices have to have updated Vulkan as these talk to each other even if you are not using the onboard graphics. See if updating both graphics device drivers helps with this problem.

Your Windows Error Reporting is also showing a lot of DellInc.AlienwareCommandCenter and Dell.CoreServices.Client.exe AppCrashes, which might indicate that your system and/or its set up is not behaving well.

Thanks, I've updated both those drivers. I don't know if I was supposed to do anything else about Vulkan.

It hasn't fixed the issue. But I have realised that the problem occurs specifically when I try to access the Loadout tab. Before that point I can access all the other information panel tabs for stations/ships. But once I click on loadout, it seems to lock me out of all of the other info tabs and from the info panel all together.

Ok, I think I may have cracked it.

Based on some other peoples experiences with the loadout tab not appearing online, I changed my UI scale from 1.8 to 1.7. That seems to have made the issue go away and I can now (so far) access the loadout tab as much as I like and it not create the issue. No idea why that works!

I'll see if that holds up during a couple of hours of games.

Edit: It's been fine ever since, so that was the solution.
