[Suggestion/QoL] Show number of remaining seminars when handing them out to personnel - Explained, already shown.

Crew seminars, particularly high-level ones (three and four stars), are one of the more valuable inventory items that a player may posses. As player is using the seminars to level-up the crew, it becomes important to keep track of how many seminars of a particular level are left, since quite often the player may want to keep some of them in reserve.

Player can review the number of seminar items left via "Inventory" tab in the "Player Information" menu. However, this information is usually way more beneficial to have access to while handing out the seminars. This is particularly true when training multiple crew members one after another.

To make this possible, the conversation options for handing out seminars should include the current number of seminars left in the inventory. This way the player can instantly make a decision on whether to promote the crew member and spend the last high-level seminar, or keep the seminar for some future use - all of this without having to spend time on "aborting" the training and opening up a different game menu.

For example:
  • Seminar for 1-Star Crew (Piloting) - 8 left
  • Seminar for 2-Star Crew (Management) - 2 left

What you are trying to tell me is that I have never ever used mouse to select these dialog options... Yep... It is even an instant tooltip, no hover delay at all... :oops:

Would it still be worth having the count incorporated into the dialog selection option instead as a tooltip?

I have also never seen that before. What's weird is that I *do* sometimes click them instead of press the key, so I'm not sure why.

if you disable tooltips in options it will not show even with mouse
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

Tooltips are on for me. Never even knew there was a setting before now. Guess I just click on it before it comes up?

Though by looking for that setting I did discover it's possible to stop the confirmation dialogues from returning... so that's nice.

Although in this particular case I think that having the numbers embedded in dialog text is the most straightforward way to go about it... Looking at this a bit more broadly - what if there was some kind of small icon or other general visual queue (hint) that would indicate that a tooltip with useful information is available for UI element? Not only for dialog options, but in general?

It would be tricky to design something in a non-intrusive fashion (that will not just clutter the interface), and it might be even useful to have a toggle option to hide/show such hints. A side-benefit of this would be that it could become easier to provide the player with inline help as well - letting player get a quick reminder without having to resort to first-time help boxes.

To give one example, in Battletech, a lot of phrases and words get highlighted within bigger chunk of text to indicate that if you hover over them you can get some more information/background. Although it is mostly used for world setting purposes, not necessarily for showing statistics etc.

Hard to say. I do not feel strongly about it. Just pointed out that it is already there.
