I won't vote (because Google) but will anyway comment here.
My primary ship what I like to use from S-class is Discoverer. Been using that and Falcon a lot when fighting against Xenon S- and M-size ships. It have enough firepower and agile when I put Argon combat engine mk3, Teladi shield mk3 and 2*bolt or bolt + Blast mortar combination.
I know things will change with 7.50 becuase new boost system. So most probably S-size ships become less fun to fight against M-size ships which have high shield capacity.

My second favorite ship is Dragon Raider. I equip that with 2*Bolt + 2*ION blaster + 2*Tau and 2 flak turrets. It's excellent against the most of ships and nice to handle. With TER mk3 shield it can take little bit more hits which can be sometimes challenge against Yaki's Kuraokami (as I don't want kill those but make crew bail out). To just kill it wouldn't be problem at all.

I don't have a Discord account and I don't want one... Google accounts are mandatory for android phones so the coverage should be higher than the new Discord thingy. Egosoft boards are a bit too limited I guess.

A weird survey for me. I don't have a personal ship in this game. Why would I? I can teleport all over the universe!

I put in the Boron scout ship because it's crazy fast, so I like having it in the early game. If I do a custom start where I don't begin with a lot of stuff, that's the ship I'll pick to start in. Once the game really gets going, though, it will likely get parked at a space station with a faction leader just so I can teleport to it.
