Love this script LV, but I have discovered one minor bug.

You can recieve escort mission from defenders in XI missions, which will then disapear midway through the escort when the XI ends.

I got one from a badly damaged centaur in Black Hole Sun during an XI who was heading to the Omicron Lyre shipyard. I'd also made a minor pilot error resulting in my poor lil buster taking a volley of HEPT fire so I was headed in the same direction and for the same reason.

Half way to the shipyard the defenders killed the last of the Xenon and I recieved my 600K compensation for breaking some toasters. I also failed my escort mission because the defender ship was removed when the mission ended.

with the fact i have 0 time at the moment and no idea if it's possible to pick up if the ship is on XI stuff it would be better to simply not accept the offer

I found a bug, not sure if it's been addressed yet, or if it's known... just a minor detail I found:
If you escourt someone, after they dock, if you dock with them to the same station, the second they break away, if you are still on the station (Not sure if this happens automatically, or if you have to be there a certain amount of time, or what...) you will Not get the money, you will fail the mission, the person who you escourted will further become an enemy of the locals (This detail may have been due to what they were transporting at the time, but the vessel that tracked them down was not a standard police vessel, to my eyes) And finally when you undock, you will become stuck. I had to use the reset vessel cheat to get out of it.

Now, this happened to me while I was using XTended, as well as a slew of other cheats, I will try and replicated it again. But, heads up

I have to say its a great script. but i have completed 2 escorts and only got paid by 1 of them. I have spend an half hour escorting a small fleet of transports and a few escort. i got the mission from the fleet leader to travel +/- 9 sectors for 9 million credits. but when i arived the transport docked to the station the ship disapears and a messidge pops op and tells me that the ship i was supost to protect does no longer exist. whats up with that i have everything i could think off, like docking at the station aswell, didnt work, trying to be within 300 meters, didnt work ether, staying 15km away, same resolt. is this a glith or is the script not compattible with fleet leaders??

no idea since it's probably the oldest script in the forum, 5yrs is a tad long to remember something that's not longer installed on my pc

Pilots, can anyone tell me how to edit the Escort script (AL Plugin: Escort 1.71) http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php? ... 11#1214611 change the mission spawn time and reward? Through the script editor or can I just tinker with the xml?

I have never used this script before, but have had a quick look at the files. There is only one number in the text files, which I have not seen referenced in the scripts. Therefore, I assume that the scripts had to be edited. Editing scripts should be done with the integrated script editor or an external script editor. That's not that much but maybe helps a bit.
