Please consider making space suits for NPCs temporarily invulnerable

At least long enough to escape the explosion of their capital ship they just ejected from. Or maybe make them immune to explosion damage from exploding ships and station modules. It's not much fun seeing all your crew die because they were too close to an exploding ship or station.

They should have done that in the first place. There was no need for a weird player-only parallel system when a better idea already existed in the game.

I think the issue is there is no way to have player NPC's persistent on stations in low attention. When NPCs do it...I suspect they simply get deleted once they reach the station.

Trying to find your ship personnel on stations is also abysmal and you have to dock there to have a chance to open up the "employees on board" list on the station, then expand each employee one by one to review their skill levels....unlessss the crew gets put into some kind of bucket and they are available to be selected from the crew mgmt system in the player's empire menu.

I'm certain they do, and even if they can't find one they fly away and eventually vanish. I just wish they would have committed to a better crew management system so there would not be awkward stopgap measures like this. I hate how clunky moving them around is, and how many clicks into how many menus it takes to reassign pilots in particular. I outright don't engage with a lot of that system because it becomes not only extremely tedious but even physically painful at scale.
