Ok, I'm still new to X4, but have played the X series for a long time. I'm kinda struggling with likely something basic.
I have built (somehow) two storage add-ons to my HQ, but it needs another and I'm stuck. What is the sequence of acquiring the information needed to see what it needs resource-wise to complete the build?
I have two ships assigned as subordinates. A trader (M size) and a Minor (mineral) as requested by the "upkeep missions."
But the station isn't making any progress building the third storage module, and I want to help.
PS: I've hired a builder already and it's just "hanging out" waiting.
PPS: It's De MEET´ er, not Dem´ et er. Gah!

In the Plan Build / Station Configuration view you need to expand the Build Resources section in the right hand pane after scrolling down past the Construction Plan Status. This will list the resources required by all your pending modules, as well as the current amounts held and any amounts enroute. Below this, you'll see any Ware Reservations outlining which traders (yours or from NPC factions) are bringing wares and their approximate ETAs.

Note, if any required wares are not being fulfilled by traders, then it may be because there are no quantities available in range at the prices configured. Often, NPC trader(s) will eventually come around, but you can almost always achieve faster fulfillment and at a lower cost by manually directing your own ships to fill any languishing shortages.

All modules to be constructed physically need a builder with these materials available:
- Non-Terran: Claytronics, Hull Parts, Energy Cells
- Terran:Computronic Substrate, Silicon Carbide, Energy

- Non-Terran: Hull Parts, Energy Cells, Adv Electronics, Shield/Turret Components, Field Coils (shields only?
- Terran: Silicon Carbide, Energy Cells, Metallic Microlattice

Thank you everyone. I just couldn't remember how to drill down to that information.
My M Trader (Mercury) isn't doing much. I assume it's because his skill level is too low. I'll have him go REPEAT buy / sell something for a while to level him up.
