No Mission Leaks, Only Commission/Discounts

Hi

I am experiencing a rather odd thing.

I have created a new creative game with the following parameters:

1. No starting credit
2. Very basic ship on minimum loadout pre-set.
3. Rating score of 20 with Terran, purely so I can start in Earth, knowing no other sectors at start. All other relationships are as defaulted.

The issue I am having is that I cannot find any mission signal leaks. All I seem to find are data leaks with either commission or discount info.

I have scanned (using shift 2 ship scanner - the one giving your cockpit a purple outline) every station in Earth and Moon, and I am now trying in Venus.

Every signal I scan is either commission or discount. No mission leaks at all.

Can anybody enlighten me why this is happening? Or am I just unlucky?

Isn't the first signal leak always the start of the original base game HQ plot? That plot variant cannot start in TER/PIO space. Maybe that's what preventing signal leaks to spawn for you.

Sounds very unlucky (or you fail to spot all leaks).

Do you find regular generic missions (that do not require Signal Leaks)?

Isn't the first signal leak always the start of the original base game HQ plot? That plot variant cannot start in TER/PIO space. Maybe that's what preventing signal leaks to spawn for you.

Is there still that (now bogus) signal leak, if one has Boron DLC?


Commonwealth space had other signal leaks on stations even when one did say "NO!" to Boso's leak. Not taking that mission did not block others.

No idea. Also, we do not know whether or not the OP has Kindgom End DLC.

Sorry, I should have said; I have all the dlc.

Perhaps the poster above is right when they say that I might need to pop out of TER/PIO space. I’ll try it tomorrow.

It seems you were correct. I moved out of Terran space and almost immediately started to get notifications for investigating the newly opened gate (from Namchucket-something-or-other) and the one from Bosa Ra. As soon as I got these, even though I haven't yet started them, I am now getting mission signal leaks even in Terran.
