WTF IS THIS?

Ok so i was minding my own business exploring the new sectors and then i wandered into Loomankstrat's Legacy.... The place is hella scary as its really dark hard to see things and i have my graphics at max so the fog hides ships in the clouds.

I was flying along in the sector then boom hidden in the shadows a massive xenon fleet.... just sitting there..... motionless.... was the scariest thing i have ever seen.

i dare not get to close so i stayed far back.

but something odd was there a ship i have never ever seen before i looked on the map and it said Unknown Xenon Ship? what is that? has anyone else seen this? its massive and really scary lol

anyways has anyone seen this? anyone know what it is or why it is there? is it a bug? is it ment to be there?

My understanding is it is exactly this. If you have the HQ then Boso Ta will state some trivial things when you get near it, and then it will disappear after about 15 seconds. It is not possible to kill the CPU ship, it has a scripted minimum health, the Asgard can get it down to that health before it teleports away but it will stay at it taking no further damage. After the CPU ship teleports away, there is a fighter swarm to deal with, or you can flee if your ship is fast enough.

You can find it floating out there without triggering the crisis. I reported it in the beta bc I thought it might be a bug that it was there (this was before the crisis activated by research), but I guess it's just kind of a harbinger.

Correct. I haven't even got anywhere near to the crisis yet I only got 1 station.
