Hi to all,
is there a special seed for a custom start where the resources are more plentiful? In my former game, I had 6 gas and 6 mineral l miners for my headquarters factory with more modules than in my recent game and the factory was full of resources. In my recent game same headquarters factory in the same place with fewer modules and using 14 l miners gas and 12 l miners mineral and the factory is not full of resources. thanks for any reply

That's rather the point of the random seed making similar starts appear different in some gameplay respects. Remember that station and resource variations affect the NPC factions in different ways too.
If you mean what is a guaranteed benign seed in your exact gamestart circumstances then that advice could only come from players that have used those exact circumstances.

The seed might be stored in the (old) save-file.

Seeds from old version may not give the expected result. 7.00 had a lot of map changes like new sectors, sunlight rebalncing or new locations for important stations. The same seed may produce very different starting conditions for versions 6.20 and 7.00.

AFAIK the seed number of a game start influences station distribution and distribution of ships. These factors lead to different Xenon attacks in the beginning, and Xenon are strong or weaker in certain places.Ageansnowfly wrote: ↑Sun, 28. Jul 24, 13:52 Hi to all,

The seed has no influence on the resource amount in sectors. No idea, if the distribution is influenced a bit, but the amount seems to fixed. The web site Quantum Anomaly has a map with resources in each sector. If you compare the situation from 6.2 (previous version) and now, there were changes - from the 7.0 Change Log:
'Improved balancing of mineral and gas region yields across whole map.'.
'Improved' usually means, resources were lowered in some sectors. A comparison I did shows, that in many 'good' sectors resources were lowered, in a way, that they are drained faster (they recover, but if you continue to mine, it will take much longer to recover). It will - with the same game save from 6.2 - lead to more miners needed, more sectors mined and longer transportation routes for the same game in 7.0.
All in all there are more resources on the entire map, but since some sectors were added, this was necessary.
So what you see is just the update to 7.0, and the consequences of the above mentioned improvement...
