L Miner are unable to mine due to lack of equipment

On all shipyards you receive this warning when trying to buy a L miner (even with highest loadout) in ship editor:

"Currently edited mining vessel has no mining equipment selected" -> therefore no mining possible with L miners at the moment.

Version 7.00 (534380)

- mining drones added
- mining laser(s) added (L and M)
- tryed all factions

Tested a old savegame (from 2023) -> same problem here. Even with a pre-defined loadout the warning appears.
On an old installation of X4 (on an old computer) with version 6.5 everything works fine with the same savegame.

So to me this looks like a bug - or what am I missing here?

Not seeing it on my end. Are these vanilla saves?

Also have you checked that the ship actually can't mine with all the proper equipment verified to be on it? Maybe it's just the warning that is wrong.

Yes, both are vanilla games - the old savegame and the new one. The old savegame works fine on a 6.5 X4 installation but does not work on 7.0 (regarding L miners).

A newly purchased L miner (with all neccessary equipment [mining drones, mining lasers and crew]) not only has this warning during buying phase but also does not start mining.

That version is a bit confusing. IIRC we went from 6.20 to 7.00 directly.

Although I have seen some issues with mining in 7.00, ships outright refusing to try isn't something I've encountered. If there are no mods involved I'd suggest to try verifying the game's files and see if the issue is still present in a new save.

They work fine in my v7.0 game - Crane, Chthonios, Magnetar (haven't tried the others). And all of the L-miners have that same missing mining equipment message when building, but it doesn't affect them. M-class miners do not have that message.

However, neither the ANT nor ARG shipyards offer M-class mining turrets so you can only equip L-turrets, although both of their wharfs do. TEL and PAR shipyards do. Very odd.
