This seems to have changed in 7.0, asking for a sanity check.
Pre-7.0 (6.2?), if I move a captain off a ship and the ship didn't have a captain...or...I captured a ship (abandoned during combat or one of the "found" ships) which also didn't have a captain,...this ship would show up on the map with a red exclamation mark.
Now, the only ship that seems to do this is one which I capture/find. Is this the new normal or am I misremembering how the game worked?
Ships missing captains no longer have red exclamations?

Still happens for me, though it takes a few moments after you remove them to kick in.

That was a bug, the captured ones are meant to need captains.Caldari Navy wrote: ↑Sat, 13. Jul 24, 16:00 Isnt that case whith xenon ships only ? As they dont need captain or it change ?

Re: Ships missing captains no longer have red exclamations?
No problems here, in the betas leading up to 7.0, the public release of 7.0, 7.10 Beta 1 and 7.10 beta 2 .. No problems with an exclamation mark appearing when appropriate. During this period I have done a lot of Pilot training via Terraforming projects (to get good pilots for all the free ships Timelines gave us, and a fair bit of shuffling about of Pilots with multiple skills for different roles), so have frequently seen the exclamation mark appear for ships that temporarily did not have a Captain. I watch out for that happening before I transfer a Pilot to the ship, to be sure there is no game script confusion as a result of me being too quick doing transfers.

Well, with a fresh Boron start in 7.0, I do not get the red exclamation marks for any ships without a pilot. It's one of the first things I noticed because I generally remove pilots from ships that aren't being currently used, such as my personal ships. Those of you that are still seeing them, are you playing a pre-7.0 game?
Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

Yes I'm playing a Custom Game start which I started just after the Boron DLC Kingdom End was released.Nanook wrote: ↑Sat, 13. There is also 'Upkeep Missions' where a list of ships without captains can be found, buried among a zillion other problems with stations needing subs and pocket money
