Way to save active mods? (To switch between modded and vanilla)

Post by rudi_pioneer »

I’m using about 20 QoL mods, and sometimes switch to vanilla for bug reporting. Is there a xml config file that has active mods that I can switch back and forth instead of manually enabling and disabling each mod?

Have a look at what CBJ said in several posts in this thread.
A dog has a master; a cat has domestic staff.

Thank you that helps!

For others that see this, file name is Documents/Egosoft/X4/<profileID?>/content.xml that holds selected mods

Just be aware that not all mods are listed in content.xml. Only mods that you have disabled will be there and if you enable them again, they remain with the enabled=true flag. The fastest way to switch between modded and not is to simply remove all mods except for the DLC from the 'extensions' folder. The content.xml file will remain intact wen you do this.
