Bug in modded game, need help finding the issue

Hi guys,

I have been playing this game for a week without problems, now suddenly lots of ships get stuck in shipyards, blocking the construction. They seem to all be stuck on the order "Restock Subordinates". All shipyards have some ships endlessly stuck in them. They all have wares, so that's not a problem.
The techncial problem seems to be, that they are not asigned a pilot. So they are just stuck inside the shipyards.

I think I found the culprit (after lots and lots of testing).

KUDA AI Tweaks

Not 100% sure though.

Though you seem to have identified a potential hang point in assigning pilots. I don't know whether KUDA can be the cause for that.

If you want this resolved, list all the mods used and upload a save game for kuertee to try to reproduce the bug. Hopefully you don't have a ton of other mods.
I don't have "Player Restock Subordinates" installed, but thanks for the link.

Your log shows suspicious amount of errors right of the bat like "[=ERROR=] 0.00 File I/O: Could not find file '.\extensions\da_ku_ai_tweaks\t\0001.xml.sig'".
If it's not some obvious problem like not having the mods enabled in a save where you originally had them enabled, you have a heapload of other mods so debugging might not be easy.

Are your mods in ...SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\X4 Foundations\extensions?

.sig errors mean nothing. Egosoft hasn't released their tools for making .sig files. Every mod shows that error.

Removing the one mod related to argon outfits (a new one though, not the ones from the reddit post) breaks all saves, so I can't test on the old save. Have to test on a new game.

Yea, I looked at the Shuffle mod and also contacted the author about it.

When removing the mod, the saves all get stuck at 47%: https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/1021
I am letting a new game run on SETA, without it and with KUDA AI, to see whta happens.

I tested Diverse Backgrounds and Clothing for Argon mod. That alone at least doesn't seem suspicious: custom game assigned Argon captains and manually ordered ships from either sy/warf seem to get a proper pilot.

Though it's Nexus download had a bad file structure, it had only a folder inside the first folder. So it wasn't identified as an extension by X4 until I removed the first one of 📁 ArgonAllOutfits -> 📁 ArgonAllOutfits so that the game would see the content.xml in the first folder it looked into.

Well, I didn't have the problem.

On my new game all seems better (without the Argon mod), just one S shp stuck on one wharf so far, but else seems fine so far.

I also have a bug where sometimes (in an S ship), when I switch to external view I can't see the ships (and also not the cockpit) until I leave the seat.

I'll give you a hint, it's not kuda.

It probably has something to do with the 100K lines of errors from your mod list.

58K are from cheat mod.

Thanks for the input. But I installed the Cheatmod after seeing the problem, to try and debug it, it allows me to take over ships with a mous click.
I think the Argon Outfit mod caused it, but I'd have to test a longer new game to be sure.

Try disabling Diverse Backgrounds and Clothing for Argon.

If those ships are stuck with no pilot, then any mod that affects character creation may be the problem.
Assumptions are based on a short conversation with a player who experienced the same problem and posted about it on Nexus Mods.

hahaha! that is funny.

let me know how you go without the clothing mod.
i'm still unsure if it is it or kuda.

i just finished a coding sprint for the new ironman mode for the Alternatives To Death mod,
so I'll be in "gaming mode" and not "modding mode" in the next few days.
I can keep an eye on on stuck ships at docks while playing.

Thanks very much! I don't think it was the Ai mod.
I myself was in modding mode the whole day, but couldn't figure out the problem, made a seperate post about it. But now I have enough, need a break!
