Why is my station manager not buying minerals to fill the storage allocation for minerals?
I have 40k storage allocation but my manager only buys 10-15k at a time. This leads to my miners sitting around most of the time waiting for the ore to be converted so the manager sets a new buy order. When I manually set allocation, they mine to fully maxed out storage like they should normally. This is frustrating though because I add more storage to stations the more it grows and I have and will have more stations. Having to change all of the allocations multiple times is annoying and I will forget to do it. This has happened in a modded and unmodded game of x4 in 2 different sectors. Any idea on whats going on?

Without most of the information requested in the very first thread at the top of the forum, and with no savegame to look at, no.

As CBJ said without detailed information, ideally a save, its just speculation, but my guess is that you have production on your station and as such the Manager will only reserve space for wares (including minerals) that cover about 2h worth of production.
If you want the miner to deliver more you can manually define the buy amount and Manager should create buy offers accordingly.
