Hello dear people,
Is there a way to set the jump gate distance of automatic traders/miners from a station?
Whenever I look in the 'behaviour' tab of individual ships that have the station as the commander it sais 'default behaviour is determened by it's commander'.
However...
When I look in the 'default behaviour' "tab", I don't see gate distance anywhere. :/
I like to set it so I can defend my tradeships better
ty,
Peace

Re: Set jump gate trading distance
The manager rating of the station manager determines the maximum number of jumps for the ships that are subordinate to the station. 1 star = 1 jump gate, 2 stars = 2 jump gates, etc. I don't think you can set it to a lower number. But you can define blacklists so your ships do not go to certain sectors.

Only indirectly. The maximum gate distance that station subordinates can trade or mine at is determined by the ship's captain's piloting skill, or the station's manager's management skill, whichever is higher. Max gate distance equal to the applicable skill in stars.

Didn't know that pilot skill factored into.the jump distance for station subordinates. Usually the manager skill is highest because that is the quickest to level up.j.harshaw wrote: ↑Thu, 11. Piloting/management skill combined with morale, or only the former?j.harshaw wrote: ↑Thu, 11. May 23, 20:58 Only indirectly. Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

How exactly does one define these blacklists?

There is a tab called "global orders", and in it you can set a blacklist for travel (prevents travel through the sector), activities (prevents mining or trading in the sector), and trade (to allow or disallow trade with certain factions. These blacklists can be applied to all your ships, or applied to.individual.ships or stations.Brambo wrote: ↑Thu, 11. May 23, 21:59thx 4 the replies,Falcrack wrote: ↑Thu, 11.
