No sync with steam cloud since 6.00 HF3

Hello,

It's a bit hopeless that I'm writing this post but maybe others have the same problem as me:

Since X4 6.00 HF3, steam won't sync my saves files. Only config and others files are well uploaded.
But when Steam try to updalod a save*.gz, it get a time out (from the same server who received config files)

I opened two times a ticket at Steam Support and they very kindly ask me to f... o....
The say the issue come from my IT but here the tests I made:
- delete all steam files, config and games and reinstall only Steam+X4 => NOK
- install steam an another PC on another place (then different internet connection) ==> NOK
- Steam Beta ==> NOK
- on a fresh install of steam and X4, download of existing files in Steam Cloud is OK. I start a fresh game, immediatly saved it and quit the game ==> NOK the new save file won't be sync

Is there any angel here to help me ?

The save files are quite large, so that could explain the timeout, but it still doesn't entirely explain why you're having so much trouble with it.

When you say you tried from another PC, was that PC on the same network as the original one? I'm wondering whether you have an upload speed issue, or whether something is interfering with the upload.

It's probably not relevant in this case, but could you add a DXDiag to your report? We don't need a vulkaninfo in this case. And can you also indicate whether your game is modified or not?

A fresh save game is only 10Mo and I use a 100mbps fiber.

The test I made was with my PC at home.
The second test was on another PC, not at home, using another internet connection.

I suspect an issue with file permission on steam side.

I see what you mean regarding Steam support. They seem to have fixated on the GeForce Now situation and completely ignored the fact that you're having the same problem on your own PC.

So, here's my suggested sequence of actions:
1. Start the game. You only need to go as far as the Start menu; you don't need to select a gamestart.
2. Go to the savegame folder, and move all of the savegame files out of that folder.
3. Exit the game and allow the cloud sync to run. It should remove any files that you have there.
4. Start the game again and check that you have no savegames.
5. With the game still running, copy only the savegame(s) you want to keep into the savegame folder.
6. Hit the refresh button in the top right corner of the Load menu to check that you have saves again.
7. Exit the game and allow the cloud sync to run again.
8. Now finally start the game once again, and try loading, saving and quitting again.

It took me time to answer because Steam Cloud, who loves me, decide to go into "Busy" state.
Anyway, I made step by step the actions.

So it failed after it had been trying to upload that one file for over 5 minutes. That's not really surprising, I suppose. And just to confirm, you're running this locally rather than on GeForce Now?

Have you checked what your current upload speed is? There are various free speed checkers available on the internet.

hi .. not sure where to ask this but ?? okay so i have had steam try to crash my pc and turn off Norten 3 times now and each has taken me a day to fix is there a way to play x4 without steam?
