Yesterday(7'th of may) i got 10 L miners(crane) and set them to sector mine Silicone for my base, worked great at first, then they could not sell, even with a active buy order and the storage was not full.
Then about half of them got stuck in undocking, and is still stuck there half a day later, i can't take over the ship, replace the captain, exchange captains with another ship etc as its a "critical order underway"
I play completely vanilla, no mods or anything, 1 dlc, the Terran one.
Atm im deconstructing my pier and making a new one to see if that can break the cycle..

We're not going to be able to help you without the information requested at the top of the forum. In this case a savegame is pretty much essential.

Have you tried teleporting in? Are they perhaps moving back and forth with the orientation, even after you sat in the seat? Are the landing lights going through a station part?

With the stuck in undocking i did try to teleport in, the captain was busy and i could not get in to take over the ship, nor could i transfer him to anothe role or ship, i even tried to dismantle the pier and build a new one to see if that would break the curse, but no luck.
In the end i had to roll back to a save about 12 hours earlier, and i still get the"failed order" unable to compleate trade" bug, i have to go into info on the ship and click away the error message.
I havent had more L miners stuck in undocking, but as the failed to compleate trade was also a issue at the same time as the "undock" bug, i kinda just wait for that to return.
The ship stuck in undock was always still, one of them had gone to the end of the map, thats like 15 min flying, beyond the fog of war, and set up shop there.
1-2 was stuck at station and another 1-2 was stuck at random where the ships usually mine
