Mod 'NoSuperHighways' no longer works

I wanted to get back into X4 after a long time. For this I copied my old backup (V3.3) back.
It used to run without problems, but now the loading process stops at 43% (new game) and at 42% for a save game. Caused by this mod: 'NoSuperHighways'. As soon as I remove it, X4 starts (new game as well as old save games).

The mod has only the following content:

In the folder 'NoSuperHighway\maps\xu_ep2_universe'
is this file: zonehighways.xml with this content:

</diff>
Does anyone have a solution?

(On the Nexus forums, others are having the exact same problem.)

I have since found this solution:

The only question that remains is what happened in the meantime and why the mod no longer works in the original.

I dont know about the mod you used, but it may be that the author has not updated it for ages?

Anyway, imho better solution is use DeadAirRT's DeadAir Gate viewtopic.php?f=181&t=434243

Which apparently does the job properly. I have no complaints about it at least, seems to do the job fine.

Thanks for the tip.

it works with the NoSuperHighways mod, thanks to the change now very well.

I looked at the DeadAir Gate, but there are too many things I don't want to change, like 'Removes rotation from asteroids'. Thanks anyway.
