I've been playing X since the very first game. Been playing every X game extensively (with exception of X:Rebirth, it just didn't do it for me). When X4 came out I was unable to run it on my then machine. That has changed over time and recently found out I can run X4 on this machine.
Thus I've recently started playing X4, and loving it. I got the first 2 DLCs as well after playing it for a few days. Sadly I'm starting to run into problems 24-48 hrs into the game on 2 occasions (started new save with dlcs). The Xenon are running amok and the commonwealth is more concerned with fighting each other instead of the Xenon. So I had this idea: Let's see if I can make a mod that reduces all Xenon weapons to about 10% of original value. I started looking around the tutorial area, but I have to admit that it's quite daunting and overwhelming. I think I understand that it should be able to be done through xml patches, but to get to the source macros is a bit daunting to me. I tried looking at other mods that deal with weapon changes, but I find it hard to figure out.
So in short: I'm looking to alter the damage value of all Xenon weapons to about 10% of original.
Could somebody help me with this?

Re: [Request] Neutering the Xenon
I think I managed to do it using the X4 Customizer tool. It was surprisingly easy. From reading the tutorial section I was under the impression I had to unpack the cats and all that which was very intimidating to me. The Customizer tool however managed to do it very easy. Tested it by flying my Katana into a Xenon sector and this is what I wanted
