New SETA

Are there any mods that increase the SETA, so that you could possibly run it at 15x or 20x

dunno, but i've always wanted a SETA that would not get interrupted by going through a jumpgate. i know it'll take hours to get to my destination, so i want to get up to make lunch or something and leave it on SETA all throughout the trip, cutting it down to just the right duration.

No, there isn't anything like this. I think it's been looked at and decided it couldn't be done.
(I certainly wouldn't know how to do it.)

Aside from the scripting/programming difficulties, I imagine it would place a considerable load on the computer as well, asking it to run at such speeds, computing everything 20 times faster. I find in busy sectors, particularly if there's a battle going on, that Seta is almost like slow-motion as it is.

it doesn't compute things 10 times faster as it stands, it just computes every 10th thing instead

this is why so many more ships are lost in extended SETA, because there's less cycles available in which to make a defensive move (or even just recover shield strength)

if there was a way to turn the SETA on via scripting, then a script to keep it running after jumping would be simple to create - however there isn't, so you're stuck with it
