[BUG] Help needed - flight controls

Hi there,
I ran into a problem concerning the use of space-bar and left click flight mode. It stopped working somehow.
I can use left click and space bar for everything else (like selecting stations) but I can't use it to control. I think it broke when I got out of SETA using left click.
Here is what I have tried so far:
-change sector (both with gate and jump drive)
-dock at a station
-change ship
-remapping the space bar to another key
-self destruct and reload the save
-close game
-close steam and reboot PC
-wild key spamming

It seems to be related to the save file because as soon as I start a new game everything works fine. Also the classical flight-mode (shift+n) does work as intended.
Help is much appreciated

You could try deleting or removing the file "profile0.xpf" from Documents\Egosoft\X3FL\profiles.

Doubt it will help, but worth a try: I've had rare glitches with the contols in X3 which appear to be caused by the autopilot getting stuck running a script which is not functioning properly. Usually things go back to normal if I give the auto pilot another command such as 'collect all wares'.
